First, HBS, a moderator here on isoHunt, has
released some DJ mixes here
in torrent releases. Download them and tell him what do you think!
Secondly, an update from Dan of
Ah.fm
of their new
web based radio player.
If you are into trance, check it out! Torrents of their music is
as before,
indexed
here.

Maybe I'm prejudiced against little grey aliens, but you've surprised me I'm more into breakbeats (Plumps, Krafty etc) but I like a bit of prog and electro. Jason Gray does some good mixes on the same site. I'm listening to your LIT mix. It's cool, dude. Nice one. Always looking for some new tunes. Cheers |

Ok as I said I would give u a feedback, here it is:
I especially like the techno mix "mindwaves session"! The intro and build up right up to and about 30 works great! Honestly just fine! Some good tracks also. The quirky intro got me listen to it and made me curious what is to come next. Well done I think. The rest of the tracks of that set are also ok. Thanks for that! Would be nice to hear more techno from you. I think you have an ear for it more than for the other styles of electronic music and mind you it is very very hard to make a "good" techno mix. Most people think just slap some black gold on the plates and have some pounding beats but there is much much more to it and some of that special extra I think I can hear in this mix. More techno from you please.
The trance mix "Sky Disk" I browsed through coz I would listen to trance and goa trance at times but not anymore so much so I can't really give you feedback on that. I am more a Techno/eletro man.
On the minimal mix "Squarbian" I can only say that I find that some tracks would fit in another sequence better maybe. The mix starts nice but then some tracks kind of got me out of the flow. It is always hard to get the right flow I know and what someone might like others might find bad. So don't take my word for it. The overall mix is solid and got its moments for sure. As here in Switzerland a LOT of people and clubs are into minimal at this time now so my ears are possibly saturated with minimal.
The "Far Side of Lupus" again I think is a bit more trancey mix what is not really my cup of tea. Nevertheless the mixes are solid technically and for the track selection I can't really give you feedback as I don't know my way round trance.
All in all I just want to say that I think that you are well on the way. I would sign up to some electronic music forums like "littledetroit" but there are plenty more. You might gain more exposure there and more feedback.
From personal experience I know how important it is to have a feedback even it is it negative. I found that when people comment on my mixes that the bad comments are the ones that help me really coz when someone likes it, it is often hard to explain why he/she liked a mix but when you don't like it you have an idea about it and hence that again helps the dj to adjust to the listeners wish or to continue doing his thing. A balance in between is ideal.
Well I hope this is all appreciated. I am happy to send you a mix also and be in touch if you like. Will soon also upload a mix to our site for your download.
Anyways, good work altogether and as I said I would be curious to hear another techno mix from you.
All the best, regards,
Mr. |

Great feedback missandmisterkinky! Thank you! Its good to talk to a fellow tech-head, you may of guessed that techno is my original reference :p Ive been mixing for about 2-3 years less than yourself so i feel i am talking to a peer here!
I rarely do trance but i got to the stage where i wanted to get out some mixes with a different style.. the tracks i chose were the best of a bunch i could find.
Being a mixer at heart, techno is just much much better to create with than trance.. trance having lots of breakdowns and dramatic melodies, etc which severely reduces the mix possibilities..
I do have more techno available over at my online host http://djmix.net/joshvickers/mixes If you take a visit there you can listen online or download (usually at a speed which will max out your bandwidth :p ) Im sure there will be a few more there to your liking! And, of course, there are lots of other decent DJ mixes there, check out my friends list for some great sets
I plan to transfer some of my mixes still on djmix.net over to torrents, and have a couple of new sets to upload also but due to my current internet being very intermittent, ive been delayed with that Its taken me 8 connection attempts to simply read your PM and reply to this thread |
