I've read the stickies but none of them told me what a IRC or a XDCC is.
Now I've been using torrents for a week and I have little to none background knowlege in computers so plz explain/ tell were i can figure this stuff out.

well i know irc is chat, but you can also get files from it. pretty old.

IRC can be used through programs like mIRC or what gemhol has told me some program named Trillian
