Google Chrome is out!! Apparently its a close rival of Firefox... check it out at www.google.com . After i tried it out,

Upsides
-Sleek interface
-Quick Web Browsing (though no visible diff between FF3)
-Easy to use
-and most importantly, it uses so little memory! Only like 30,000K on WinXP SP2 with mediocre hardware with 20tabs open, compared to ~90,000K on FF3 with same system specs

Downsides
-Few/No Add ons
-Unable to do quick-scrolling (1click on the mouse scroller and just move the mouse up/down to navigate
-long delay time to switch between tabs

Visit
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_chrome
for more info. So, which browser are you sticking to?

I'd say toulji is close. The way I see it:

Opera 9.5x ~ Firefox 3 > Chrome

I think I like FF2 better than 3. Opera is fine but I rarely use it.

I design with an IE bias, since that's what 70% of computers use. Doesn't mean IE stands on ground with any of these lol

Chrome is decent... beats IE. Haven't tested too much what works and doesn't in Chrome yet. Yet another browser... eck.

beta test -

A test for a computer product prior to commercial release. Beta testing is the last stage of testing, and normally can involve sending the product to beta test sites outside the company for real-world exposure or offering the product for a free trial download over the Internet. Beta testing is often preceded by a round of testing called alpha testing.

Methinks you forget the release candidate stage.

-edit-
In other news, it looks like a second browser war has broken out in full swing. Hopefully this time companies will focus on features and web standards instead of seeing how many corners they can cut.
