Whatever! --- than you go ahead and do just that --- Rolling Eyes Laughing , there's legalities in protection to downloading to or have you not ready any of the business laws within your country? Laughing

This whole topic makes me sick. Especially coming from Canada, it makes me ashamed to live here when things like this happen.

Bill-C61 and the ACTA are so counter-productive that it's entirely absurd.

The internet has evolved into what it is today because there weren't corporate entities hoarding all of the wealth and hindering progress and development. Yes, huge profits have been made as a result of the internet, but no one person or corporation can control what happens. That's what makes the internet what it is.

I love how the West loves to snub China for censoring its citizen's web access, and yet here in the West our online freedom is not only being constantly challenged and threatened, but being harassed by pervasive money-hoarding corporations that have absolutely no respect for the average user.

The CRIA says that Isohunt has no purpose in Canada? I think that this statement should be reversed, as CRIA obviously does not represent most online users. All we need are the corporations and the government to have us in a stranglehold, censoring and controlling what we do and don't have access to.

If the ACTA was actually passed, it'd enforce cross-border MP3 Player and laptop checks for copyrighted material. Can you believe the absurdity in that?

I'm only a student and thus I'm saving for college AND have bills to pay off, but I will definitely be donating at least the $25, if not $45. I know that it's not much, but every bit helps. And I want to know that at least I helped make a small contribution against these power mongers.

If our rights as users slowly dwindle away, the internet will probably become another cesspool. Might as well watch t.v, since we'd just be fed what they wanted us to do and see on the net if they had their ways.

Ugh.

Power to you Isohunt! It's awesome to see someone grow a pair and take on these corporate douchebags in the name of everyone who loves an open and free internet.

Death to the CRIA!

(By the way, I don't see any mention of this on your Wikipedia page or the CRIA's Wikipedia page, so I am going to update it to hopefully get at least a few more people aware).

EDIT: Okay, I updated the Wikipedia web pages with a very brief summary and links to the affidavit and petition. I was rather vague, so anyone else who is a little more articulate when it comes to Wikipedia is encouraged to improve it.

To be fair, I was only being half sarcastic. And yes I do know what IP "usually" stands for.
