Hi there Smile
I just want to know what XDCC script people use to downlaod XDCC's, So I'm trying to make a poll here ( hope it works Wink ) with some XDCC scripts and see what you use.
So here's the list of scripts in the poll, and a link to read about them and download them.
And of course you can always reply to this post and say what you think Smile

XDCC Browser
http://www.mircscripts.org/comments.php?id=2138
XDCC Klipper
http://xdccklipper.sourceforge.net
xdccv
http://www.mircscripts.org/comments.php?id=1387
Ivision
http://invision.lebyte.com/

Other

Can't think of any other right now...
But I think it could be an interesting poll Smile

I use XDCC Klipper Very Happy . I think it is a very good script. The link you are pointing to is the link to the previous versions. I must say that version 4.21 is much much different from version 4.11 or previous versions.

Now when version 4.3 was released it is even better.

xdccklipper.sourceforge.net
(The netfirms mirrors is down at the moment). I think that there are other mirrors.

ya, heard good things about it. And working as an mIRC script is very nice.

I also use XDCC Klipper. Very Happy
It has some nice options like control by mail, and packs submission to a search engine called ircklipper. It also catches the trigger, even for triggers like: /msg bot I want the following pack so give it to me #x

As much as I know, XDCC Browser (even version 3.1) doesn't catch the trigger, so it is hopeless for some bots. I have heard that DCCAssist is ok too, but I'm going to stick with XK Wink

The user has the option to enable packs submission. Packs which are added to the packs list of the addon are automatically sent to a search engine (like IRCSpy or packetnewsor ISOHunt Smile ). The users are like the "spiders" on regular xdcc search engines. The address of ircklipper is:

http://members.lycos.co.uk/xdccklipper/

This way, the users can share their knoledge about packs and channels without even knowing each other.

ok, distributed spidering. it's interesting but i chose not to for isohunt, it has too much performance and security problems.

isoHunt's IRC index has more 1 million files, i say it's big enough Wink

I'm using my own made script Smile
It's mainly used to share mp3. Search results are displayed through DCC Chat, so there's no more Excess Flood Smile
More to be done Smile
All channel bots will connect to one main bot through sockets, which will make all searching and results displaying works.
Maybe the bad point is that everything is in my language (lithuanian), but it's not difficult to change everything Smile

I'm looking for a quick, small and easy XDCC script to use. The only features I want to see are filtering of XDCC ads and the catcher browser (nick , packs double click = get pack) + search.

It seems to be very hard to find a XDCC script like so, most have way to many features.

Would be nice if there was a standalone script that had only that, and a @XDCC window would be nice too. But seriously, I don't see why people need all the features, and I've been on the sene for quite a while.

Anyways, more to the point, anyone know of or is willing to provide a script with ONLY those features?

The new link is: http://www.ircklipper.info and http://www..(info)/search.php
