Releases, isoHunt Supporters

First off, the Releases needs a major revamp. And the Torrent upload needs fixing, after the move of the site to run on 2 servers. Some torrents uploaded very recently may have been deleted, sorry yet again. I will fix it by tommorow.

I'm not big on rules, but I want to make 1 thing very clear: There are to be no porn posted here in the Releases, in Torrent or otherwise. I will be adding modding features to the releases soon, and any that was posted will be deleted. And I'll figure out some interface to consolidate torrents into distinct releases, as I'm seeing a lot of duplicates.

And I would like to thank all who donated. Such members are indicated by a isoHunt Supporter rank. It means something to this site, and it means something to me. Cheers

Just curious, why no porn?

Christian code of ethics.

And that most ad networks don't like sites that deals with porn, but that's secondary.

I think you're missing the point.

The point is that the site owner sets the rules. And us participants either follow them or find another home site to hang in.

If it was MY site, I'd probably allow porn but ban anything with Harvey Korman in it.<g>

Then again, I probably wouldn't allow porn, purely from a women's issues stance. I do believe in free expression, creative freedom and abhor censorship in any fashion, but if it's my site I wouldn't want to encourage avenues of expression I find demeaning.

But I digress. I posted to point out that the owner gets to make the rules.

Demeaning, I've always wanted to agree with that but I'm pro-choice. If I owned a site I wouldn't use bandwidth for stupid stuff and guess what porn is all about.

Actually I don't want porn on this site either for other reasons. I'm merely interested in this : IH, porn is unethical, but software piracy isn't?

you are both right. I can call the rules (muhaha) but it's fair to ask why.

believe it or not, this is an important question i ask all the more recently. My conclusion is there's black and white aspects. Sharing for personal and _sampling_ use is the good part. Freeloading with the the mentality that it's free is the bad part.

The white part is what i'll try to work towards. You'll see some spin-off projects from me in the near future Wink
