any newly released torrent will have an incredibly slow download speed for me,
all my settings are fine as all other torrents download with a high speed

for example i'm currently downloading the new 24 episode at around 5kB and uploading at around 15/20kB
though if i waited until later the speed would be higher

everyone doesn't have this problem as when i started downloading there were 18 seeds, now there's 191 and i'm at 2% complete

any thoughts?

thanks

Usually the original seeder would use the superseeding option on their client. It would look for those in the swarm that are uploading to other peers at the highest speeds and give them preference. That way the file parts gets sent out to others in the swarm faster.

Is it possible your upload speed isn't as fast as some are? I upload at around 85KBs (approx 650kbits) and don't have many problems with speed down. Once there are a few seeders its always picks up.

He did state that he uploaded in the low speeds of 15-20, thus that is most likely his problem when it comes to this. Since when there are few seeds one usually gets 1/1 ratio or thereabout I guess you are just unlucky.

This is the reason i use google moderators for televized series like 24.I search open directorys like this;

intitle:"index of" "parent directory" "last modified" 24 .avi -faq -htm -html -asp

24 will not be enough because you will get 1843554 results but you know wich episode you lookin for so include that with the search.

No Yooble, its usually because there is only one seed mainly. No seeds it would not download at all!

if there are leechers which have part of the file(s) it is still possible to download the available pieces, although you would not be able to complete the download, obviously. splitting hairs i suppose.

Look, if you upload at 15, to 3 people each one will recive 5 like you. This might get happening to you. this always happens when the seedes numer is smaller than the peers.

Try d/loading an aXXo release as soon as it's posted! Very slow because sometimes there's only one seed (aXXo himself) and obviously loads of peers so that is ultra slow. Wait a few hours and d/load again with lots of seeds and it's pretty damn fast! (Pretty obvious really!) Very Happy
