Currently I'm running Windows Vista. Got AMD 3800 (I think...), with 2GB RAM.

For my music, I use Steinberg Sequel, but just moved to Sequel 2. Just got a M-Audio O2 MIDI controller.

So far all my music is sort of trance-based, but I have been experimenting with different styles of electronica.

You can hear all of my music at www.last.fm/music/dj+steidl

Or you can download my first album at http://www.demonoid.com/files/download/HTTP/1701033/13716156 or http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/51926526/?tab=summary . The demonoid release might be faster for d/l (more seeders at the moment.) Still anxious to hear what people think about my beats.

This thread is win.

Oh and I also create music such as everyone else who has posted here

I used Cubase SX3, FL Studio 8, many vst's and samples

To hear my music please visit my link in my signature that says "User's Website" or something, I cannot post links yet.

I am mainly into creating Hardstyle, Trance, Techno, Ambient Techno, and whatever else you see I make.

My best albums usually go by newest so the third currently is the best, but I've tried hardest on my first album (it's okay in my opinion.)

I hope to maybe collab with other people that use FL Studio or Cubase Sx3, if you're willing to do so please hit me up on my AIM. Smile

I use FL Studio 8, and I create hardstyle and trance Smile Using a few plugins such as Vanguard, Nexus, z3ta+ and Hydra. Actually, I create anything. It starts out with the idea of creating trance, but often turns into techno or I dunno what. I love the program ! Unfortunately, I had to quit for 2 months. I suck now.

Divino, I can collab with you since we're interested in the same style but I suck Razz I can only make some nice hardstyle kicks, and 1 out of 50 melodies I make is actually a good sounding melody.

Come on, kids, what do you work on? Whats your style? I know you wanna talk about it! Everyone loves to talk about their rig, except of course those who dont know what a rig is, or why it works.

Been producing for roughly four years using FL Studio. Used to use a Toshiba Equium L20-197, but recently bought me a HP 6735s to get stuff done.

Just finished an album, which will be available to download on here as soon as I've made the two posts Razz

Hardware: Win XP Home, 2.2Ghz AMD Hammer,2 gig memory, 350Gig HD, M-Audio Torq 1.5, M-Audio Radium 49 keystation, Stanton C.313 Tabletop Mp3 Cd player, & a 1.6 Gig Intel atom HP Mini 1033CL Netbook.

Software: Reason 4.0 with Over 8 gigs of refills, Protools M-Powered 7.4, Ableton Live 7.0, Adobe Audition 2.0 & I can't name all of the VST's I use, too many.....

I mainly use Reason Because the Program is trully insane once you get the hang of it. I 've been using reason since the first version. Recently, I've finally learned how to start mastering my tracks in Reason. The Latest 2 tracks I've finished on the website have a the new improved mastering sound to them. I Produce All Forms of electronic music but I love Drum & Bass & Speed Garage.

www.soundclick.com/stimulation Peep the tracks Let me know what you think.....

I am currently on a MacBook Pro, running Ableton Live 6.0.7, since there is no [k]'d Ableton 7 for Mac (but would be greatly appreciated). I also use the Native Instruments Komplete Pack, mostly for Absynth, B4, GuitarRig, and FM8. I used to be a hardcore user of Propellerhead's Reason, but with version 4, they lost me a little, and Ableton is so much more intuitive and fun for sampling and looping, rather than having to create a REX file of a sample, just to chop it, requiring a copy of Recycle.

I used to swear by Sony's Acid Pro Studio when I was living blindly in PC land, still a great program, but I won't give up Ableton now that I've learned, or Mac OS X for that matter.

MAC

Macbook standard (17 Inch)
Logic Express & Fx.

Greets everyone!

After spamming #isohunt for some time earlier this afternoon, jthm had the bright idea that I should post some of this here and create an audio production discussion, rather than firing off my packets into the IRC void. So here goes.

Ill start by asking... What audio production tools does everyone use? (well not everyone, but those inclined to make music!)
Do you run your stuff on Windows or MAC? What has your experience been like on your system? Stable? Glitchy? Smooth as silk?

I currently use:
(hardware) 3.8ghz P4+HT, 1gb DDR2, EMU 1212m DSP soundcard, M-Audio Radium49 midi keyboard/controller, Shure BETA 57a and MXL 990 mics, Alesis hardware multi-effect
(software) Cubase SX3 at the core, Reason3 and Live!(sometimes) as slaved plugins, Native Instruments - Absynth, Battery2, Reaktor5, FM7, Kontakt2, Elektrik Piano, Spektral Delay, AAS Lounge Lizard, ARP 2600, Arturia MiniMoog5, the Waves plugins, iZotope stuff, Waldorf Attack, and etc etc etc etc plugins!!!! Too many to list!
Oh yeah, and Ill put in a shameless little plug.
www.soundclick.com/milkmanismine
That the stuff Im cirrently working on. Unfinished, of course, like most things I start.

I love these little bits and pieces of code. I use them all almost every day. If anyone has any questions, answers, rants, raves, or just wants to tell me a thing or two about the inferior software I use (grin), hit me up!
I love talking about this stuff and I love to help people learn. Ive learned all I know thanks to friends and total strangers on the net. Ill pay it forward, you know what I mean?

Peace

Actually, I'm a multi-instrumentalist, and I've been wondering what kind of audio production software is "good." Do you like the stuff you're using?

Also, if anyone knows of good software for audio recording (like recording actual instruments after they've been mic'd up), please let me know. Thanks!

What is Ableton like? I've been using Garage Band but find it annoying at times.

I don't do allot of audio but for what its worth I suggest people look into:
Ubuntu Studio

Its free and open source so there is tons of free support and
you can be a part of designing the software just by posting suggestions.

I comes packaged with About 40 programs specific to audio

If your a new be I suggest this very strongly, so many get locked in my the
tactics of monopoly software.
