Banned from IRC?

Well iam new to IRC and just tried going to The isohunt channel and i was banned?/

For what reason. I have never ever entered that channel or the server

Here have a look at the Rules . Untill the mod that banned you comes along with the reasoning why...

Banning chatzilla from #isohunt is a preventative measure, it keeps people like you from joining. You being: incapable of finding help on your own, incapable of reading simple rules/instructions, unwilling to read what others tell you regarding the first 2, etc.

In short, it keeps idiots out of #isohunt, which significantly reduces the amount of stress that I and our channel ops have to endure.

I suggest using mIRC and downloading NNScript, one of the best scripts for IRC I've came across Smile

mIRC is a good one. I use miranda IM which some of the fellas look down on but that's ok. It works for me.

It would seem as though there are many folks who like to take the easy road, (install the chatzilla extension) just so that they can pop in and demand answers to their questions and then leave. Not to say that all folks are this way but it would seem that the mods of #isohunt have found this to be the case. And as such have decided to save themselves and everyone else the hassle of having to sort out the 95% lamers from the 5% normal folk who use chatzilla. Cheers
