when i bought m pc (a year and a half ago) every say to me "dont install vista is to slow, too heavy and dont support all programs" but now that is a lie, the 99% of the soft that i install in my pc works perfect, maybe 2 years ago vista was too much trouble but now is perfect (in my opinion).
i just realize that this treath is old!!!, almost 3 months without replies . freakin' polls. |

Vista is better than before right now
When it first came out I had troubles with drivers .. SoundMax I've downloaded the one that was provided in Microsoft Update and it worked well but while using Vista after 10 or 20 minutes you will not be able to hear any of sound in Vista so I searched a while in a google and found a better driver from somewhere and it worked well
I think now with more updates and SP1 it's better than before |

ok...i have been an avid supporter of xp since the first.i have used vista on my toshiba lappy and i actually liked it.the toshiba is neither here nor there.i have heard from a few reliable sources that come the first quarter of '09 xp is gonna be non-existance.theres gonna be no drivers supported for it(new),and its going off the shelf.i dont mind upping to vista or even 7(which i have pre beta)but i mean damn...i believe that xp is one of the best operating systems out there that has every been out there.plus i just really dont want to change.
if there is someone out there that has a bonahid link that says ya or nay about the future of xp please post it.thanks

Once you get used to the interface of vista menus etc etc its pretty much the same as xp
I actually run my vista with user account control turned off and its real easy to make things work that way most of the problems people have with vista is user account control 75% of the time most the problems i hear of around here anyways is because someone didnt run the install or what ever the problem may be it all comes down to user account control
Also another great tip google is your best friend and your not the only one out there most of the time that has any given problem you may have
I did have some trouble with a webcam install but all i did was google install (model number) vista not working or something similar to that and 90% of the time i was able to resolve my issue in less than a few hours im just rambling on but maybe this is usefull to someone..... |
