You can open the iso - Once again with poweriso or winrar you can right click on the file and extract it, the down side is you have twice as much data on your pc than you actually need.
If its a game or a software program you could always delete the extra files you extracted after you have installed it could you not..Or you could save the files to disc for a backup then delete Wink

I would recommend Alcohol 120% Virtual Drive for reading or mounting Disc Images. According to me it is batter than PowerISO.

The only problem is the former doesn't support *.uif - Compressed image file format (use MagicISO for this format).

I followed the excellent guide and the first dvd installed perfectly. I had mounted dvd 2 on the second drive but when I was asked to "Insert DVD 2" I could not make anything happen. Could someone please advise?

I've just purchased PowerISO v. 4.4 I have tried at least a dozen times to burn an ISO image to disc. The problem I seem to be having is, I get to the burn disc section, and my burnable drive isn't listed. Needless to say, I am growing more and more frustrated. Here is my scenario. I have an ISO, I mount it to the drive. I click burn to start the process. It shows the location of my ISO, under Burning Parameters, I have 2 sections. The first is the Burning Drive. It stays blank. The 2nd, is the burning speed. It says "Maximum" and can not be changed. There is a check box under that that is checked to verify written data. In the Time and Event Box where the ISO file should show with the drive... it is also blank. Under "My Computer" My drive shows the file has been mounted. I do not understand what is happening.
My computer setup is as follows.
AMD Sempron
1.80GHz, 2.87GB RAM
Microsoft Windows XP Home Version 2002 on Service Pack 3

I recently gave this computer an overhaul and replaced my main drive with-
Seagate 350GB 7200RPM 16MB internal SATA
Two (2) Corsair 2056MB 800MHz RAM (funny how my motherboard is max of 4GB yet only allows less than 3GB)
I also installed a slave drive, Seagate 1TB 7200RPM 16MB Barracuda SATA drive.
The CD/DVD+- RW drive is a Philips 20X SPD2415BD. This drive isn't more than 6 months old. So, I didnt feel the need to replace it. It is a IDE drive. I purchased a IDE to SATA converter. The drive has worked fine until this. Could it be a drive issue or is there something I'm missing?

I am using Avast Pro v. 4.8 as my anti-virus.

ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version:8.0.400.020
TrueVector version:8.0.400.020
Driver version:8.0.400.020
Anti-virus engine version:6.0.2.678
Anti-virus signature DAT file version:989219767
Anti-spyware engine version:5.0.209.0
Anti-spyware signature DAT file version:01.200907.6275
AntiSpam version:6.0.0.1429
ZoneAlarm ForceField 1.3.153.0
ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database 1.2.95.0

I have drives
C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and J.
Drive C is my Local drive. Drive E is my CD drive. The rest are either card slots or my back up drive or thumb drives.

By the way, if I extract my ISO; I get the folders with the unusable files. I just need to know what if anything am I doing wrong.

Thank you in advance.
