Referring to the 120GB versions of both. I'm looking to spend the money on one before the month is over. I've done all kinds of looking and can only seem to find one sided opinions on this. Anyone out there who has had Physical experience with Both of these products?

Your time is much appreciated.

yeah I say zune is the way to go unless you are already embedded deep into itunes. If you don't use itunes zune if you do ipod might be easier to get started with.
I have experience with both even though currently I only own the zune because the ipod battery crapped out...
They both have their pluses and their flaws. Personally I like the zune but many people do swear by their ipods I guess the best thing to do is decide exactly what you need and go from there. I've personally found the zune easier to deal with, because I don't like itunes...

I've heard a lot of iPod users actually preferring the Zune over the iPod.

They're about equal, and do the same thing.

Most of my friends have a zune, and my friends that own an iPod know and admit that zune's are way better. iPod's have more problems than zunes do as long as you take care of a zune. Plus, the layout of the music on your computer and in your actual zune are much more organized.

Ditto I have neither but most of my friends say the same thing.

Converting to iTunes is pretty annoying. I love WMP11 and the zune is so easy to sync up with in WMP and add songs, no converting necessary.

Thanks to everyone for their opinions. I did manage to find some really good reviews I'll put the link below just in case there is someone else reading this with the same concern as me. I am deep into iTunes but i did DL the Zunes program the other night and have since played with a bit. I kind of like it i think it just takes some getting used to. I'm definitely going with the Zune though. I think I'm going to use iTunes just to play music on the computer. I did notice that Zunes slowed down my computer a significant amount. Confused

Here is that link for anyone interested... http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16855604017

Converting to Itunes?

I've never had to convert anything in the 30gb of music I have. Although you do have to convert films. But you just download a .mp4 film file insted of a .avi.

I have a 80gb model, and it's never failed to let me down. Just comes with a wank pair of earphones. Lol.

As for the Zune, none of my friends have one, so i can't give you any info on that. Sorry.

I'm one of those trapped into their iTunes roots as well. It's the most counter intuitive program I have ever worked with and makes the smallest tasks seem impossible. But I have over 40,000 songs all configured and sorted into playlists and all that.

First time I held a Zune back when they came out I immediately was envious. The iPod is such a dumb device for the price you pay. Cheap and inappropriate materials with a laggy system. For $250?! bah.

The iPod touch, now there's another story. If only they'd jump further into the memory... sigh. I await the 500GB touch screen iPhone.

As a relevant FYI here, the Zune HD, the competitor for the iPod touch, is on track for a release in September. From what i've read it looks like a solid contender.

Time will tell at this point.
