Okay, so I'm trying to connect to Rizon IRC network with an SSL connection, as opposed to the normal connection, because some of the channels that I want to use require an SSL connection.

So I try and do the /sslserver irc . rizon . net and it tells me that the security certificate is invalid.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to work.
Any advice would be appreciated.

well in mIRC and xChat it would be ( in the case of lets say p2p-network on which #isohunt is located if you want to use SSL you just do /server irc.p2p-network.net:+7000 (or in your case +sslport)

Then it should give you a pop up asking you to accept or deny and bla bla bla, did you install ssl?

I recommend using mIRC or xChat over chatzilla

Hop into chatzilla and type this

Code:
/alias certif eval getService("@mozilla.org/embedcomp/window-watcher\;1","nsIWindowWatcher").openWindow(null,"chrome://pippki/content/certManager.xul","mozilla:certmanager", "", null)

Then run it:

Code:
/certif

Enter the server with the invalid ssl certificate, then try /sslserver your.server.here +6697

The above thought is smart and doesn’t require any further addition. It’s perfect thought from my side.
