Are you a trophy/achievement whore?

Ive found myself neglecting anything in my PS3 collection that doesnt support trophies and sucking the achievements out of my easier xbox games just to stay ahead of my friends. Petty? Yes. Childish? Yes. But extremely addictive.

So be honest and answer the question Laughing

WhiteViper you get trophies for doing certain things on games that are sometimes hard to do. If that makes since.

Its a reward system for accomplishing certain feats in games. For example scoring a diving header in FIFA 2009 for the first time earns you a bronze trophy.

But know I don't really care about achievements, just because I can't get many of them...(I don't own a Xbox but I can relate).

Oh I see. Since they can't get people to play em otherwise they has to offer other incentives. Laughing

Sometimes... I game with a 360 though so it's called gamerscore in our universe Razz

Everyone likes to feel like they've accomplished something, I think getting "trophies" and bonuses for beating certain levels or finding and easter egg or playing for the 1,000th hour or whatever it may be is a really great way to reward and keep our generation of gamers playing.

You're looking at a total award/achievement whore right now. Even though it's not on the PS3 nor on the 360, I go after each and every award one at a time on my gaming webpage.

First thing I do when I play a new game is look for its easter eggs and awards Very Happy

No I'm not just while I'm playing I get some trophies(PS3)

In FIFA 09 I never wanted the trophy I was just playing and I was getting trophies

There was a goal that I've scored and I got a trophy for it the goalkeeper came for a corner I was winning 1-0 so I got the ball I started to run I was playing with Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea's Striker) and I shot it from the half and I've scored it and they gave me " Screamer" Trophy Laughing

And GTA IV you know I got it when it got released for the PS3 and I've finished the game month later Take Two released a patch that delivered Trophies with the game so people who finished the game needs to REPLAY the game all over again just to get trophies so I just said f**k them Very Happy

I only play a couple of games where I am active with achievements.
I've been doing mirror's edge speed runs since the game was first out and have some good ones there.

I also recently got l4d, and almost have all the achievements possible for it already.

Just need a couple of more vs. ones and need to finish blood harvest on expert at some point, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

They are on certain PC games. Halo 2 for example. You should only play for fun but a competetive edge goes a long way lol.

The only game that I've paid attention to achievements was Team Fortress 2

Oblivion is and lost odyssy are good for easy achievements. And early sports games. I wanted to get Left 4 Dead but have left it a bit late so Im just gonna wait for the next one. I hardly have any co-op achievements/trophies though. Anyone managed to get a platinum trophy yet?
