I think intel is better and faster but I am using amd.

My computer specs:


AMD ATHLON 64 3.20Ghz

Well it runs faster than Vista, more or less the speed of XP (depending on what I'm doing), and looks sexier than both. I really need to stop tinkering with the insides though, I always screw up eventually and have to reinstall the OS. Funny when you think about it - I had to reinstall Windows every few months because of malware, yet I have to reisntall Ubuntu every few months because of myself... Laughing

The poor thing is in desperate need of a GeForce 6200 since it lacks a dedicated video card slot...
