OMG, looks like this topic is going "oopsie-daisy" ?

I almost crapped my pants from laughing so hard, specially when reading the very well put, but funny responces from our IH mods.

Anyway, to put it shortly: you guys must have some nerves of steel, IMO. As I look into some of the comments and/or forum topics, I bet you guys role your eyes a hell'lot of times. Respect from me, mods! Specially because I try to help people out too, almost with hand and feeth. Sometimes, or most of the time, without a single result (due to the fact they just don't listen or read anything, and the fact they expect you to read their minds for some odd reason).

I DO understand that some people have it more difficult to understand stuff, no doubts about that, as we all learned step by step and by making mistakes and getting up again, but ffs, it ain't THAT difficult, ya know.

Rules are there to read.

Stickies are there to read.

Comments sections are there to read (and not only to ask questions whom already have been answered 10 times)

Forums are there to read (and not only to ask "dumb/against the rules" questions)

Mods are there to HELP you, but don't piss 'em off (that's what the rules are for, get it?).

Aaahhh... lot's of respect for the mods, that's for sure!

Are there any images that we can use for a standard when rating torrent quality?

everyone's view of a torrents quality varies... rate it as you see it.. that is what the comments are for

I just thought it would be handy to have an image to standardize the rating system. Currently the system of rating is subjective, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Also comments like," V9 for a cam" are almost useless. One might as well say "V10 for a polaroid".

Here is a little something I made up. Your suggestions are welcome.

actually rating it for a cam is a good idea if you rate a cam against a blu ray then the cam should be 4/10 or something but for a cam that video might be 7 or 8/10, anyway even if you have a picture to rate it buy people wont look at it, hell people wont even check a torrent source page to see if it's real first

That is why only the super genuis's discuss such affairs. Smile

With so many people trying to derail torrents, I like knowing that there are some people who try to make the forum enjoyable.

Maybe I should only trust people with avatars.

p.s. Maybe a code of using a certain type of avatars for trusted users could be set up. For example using warner brothers images. However that might be too covert.

actually the pics and rating like that is useless as most people rate things for what they are and are subjective to what they believe the file is to them,rating a cam against an imaginary dvd or bluray which it isn't would be pointless.people have different systems,setups,etc,i have a 40" 1080p flatscreen and most dvdrip would get a 2-3 and cams are just unwatchable so i need to take that into account when i rate something,someone with just an old style regular tv would think the same dvdrip is fantastic,no matter what rating system was used.

so basically just rate things for what they are be it cam,TS,dvdrip,bdrip,brrip,etc, by what you think it is for you while keeping in mind what most people have available to them to watch it on.

When it comes to light and dark with visual quality, I find my laptop, no matter what brightness it is set at will always show a movie as darker than what my TV will show. So in some cases quality comes down to the actual quality of your TV/Computer etc.

Considering movies done with a cam, they could be said to be 9 out of 10 in comparison to the majority of other cam jobs. So if I were to state, "For a cam job this ones 9/10," then I might be correct in the context of my statement, but not in comparison to a dvd rip for instance. Honestly I think if you're going to comment on a cam job then you should just say, "I can see it and hear it, so it works!" when it comes down to it you will probably download a rip of it when it gets to dvd anyways, so cam jobs are only temporary and quality barely matters, its if it is real or not that matters.

Unfortunately, as has been said, most people don't read the rules and sticky's, some don't even bother to hash check so there is little chance of these same people reading the advice on how to rate a download.

if you are using https: you may need to use http: for it to show.if you are using adblock+ you may need to give this a look.

I can't reply or comment on torrents, I get this message:
You need to fill a captcha as your comment either contains a URL or you don't have enough reputation points.
The weird thing is that I don't see any captcha characters, I don't use URL codes, and I don't use AddBlock+ Confused
