Shut down your forums

You should shut down your forums. You making people angry with your index. If they don't like your bot, they can find a way to ban it. The channels have a hard enough time banning spam; I'm sure your bot will pass though mostly unnoticed.

People are worried that your site is too invasive. They don't want to attract the RI** and co, and neither do you. Rather than argue with these people, have them track down this site and e-mail you...Then you must instantly remove your bot from their site.

You already have the bitterness attitude so I know you don't care. But please, for the future of this website, don't piss anymore people off.

Since you are probably committing vicarious copyright infringment, I strongly urge you to be careful what you say and do in your forums. Don't piss anyone else off. We're all in this together.

But, otherwise, keep up the good work. The best irc search engine yet.

thx for your warning. But no, i will not hide in a corner because ppl don't understand. With the faq and all the posts, and talking to many channel and network ops, I think most don't want indexing now because of legal problems.

There's been close to no "bitter" posts the last month or so, thx to probably the automated forms for removing channels and fserves tat don't want to participate. Besides, i can't really handle too many email requests otherwise.
