Marmite was invented in a lab somewhere as a deadly new chemical weapon. When it turned out that it didnt in fact kill ye....just made 50% of people sick...they decided to market it as food.
It's very big Downunder where they have been feedin' it to kids for generations.
A jar of Marmite.
One of them kids.

I've tasted it once. It made me cough then gag. I then had 6 months of counselin' followed by 1 year of therapy.
You might like it but why risk it? |

I like marmite but only spread
thinly
. I've had it spread a bit too thick and it was just too strong!
Here's a
link
to one of our commercials. |

I'm neutral on this one. I nor hate it nor love it.
When I was in Aussieland I ate it but it was nothing special. Though it wasn't god-awful either.
I prefer jelly or jam.
And maybe a little bit of that Aussie chronic.. |

In the US,
jelly
is a jam-like spread for toast or sandwiches.
Jell-O
is the congealed gelatin kind you keep in the fridge and eat with a spoon. |
