I think the Wii is a noval idea, but I would not buy it becouse it has nowhere near the amuont of great game avaiable as the Xbox306 or the Ps3. |

| funny you should mention the gamecube , the Wii plays the GC games and you can also use GC controllers , maybe they have just made GC2 ? lol |
Well that's the Wii is really the upgrade to game cube so I suppose 1 decent thing is backward capability but then again the processors are virtually the same just the Wii one is faster according to home brew its the ati chip that's the big difference between the game cube and the wii |
What is de ATI chip???
|
It's the on-board video for the gaming system.
The Wii uses an ATI chipset. ATI is the company. |
What is the modle of the ATI gpu chip? or what would be a pc gpu equevelient? |

I've been enjoying my Wii alot since I first got it in 2006, but I just wish Nintendo would've pumped up the console a bit, at least to 360 levels so that we can get all the great multiplatform games, let's face it, developers don't hate Nintendo they hate the low end hardware they have to work with :S
To em it doesn't matter anymore, I got my gaming PC this year and I've never been happier with a gaming system up till this day. |

Well personally developer wise I wish Nintendo opened up a bit and allowed people to freely create there own software for the wii Since it clear there doing nothing for it theses days I know a bit C I reckon they realised a SDK I could have a mp3 and cd player on it in a week even if its fixed to that particular wii and it can only being installed via connecting it to the network with the pc and ftp. Altho mem card with .cab files would be better.
Also lets not be to hasty about the novelty idea of the wii mote. point to screen game consoles have been around for ages even the Sinclair's had a gun attachment which allowed you to point at the tv and shoot. So its hardly a new innovative idea altho it has been very well done with a lot more control. Actually thinking of the Sinclair to stop Nintendo fear of losing money have the develop environment built on the wii like Sinclair with basic and no way to save your projects apart from to file that are encrypted to that wii thro its serial number in a unable to view location.
(zx gun http://retrogamescatalog.com/acatalog/070508-Sinclair-gun.jpg and that's as old as me actually its probably older)
I think its just mainly me I probably am better suited to the xbox 360 I don't play that much either but least comes in handy for video streaming to the tv and is a full media solution plays nearly everything(divx,mpg,wma,mp3,etc..). Where as the wii dont even do the basic media the ps2 could do or even the ps1 (cd playing, dvd player , mp3 ok plays um but not supported) also Wii I find is one of them consoles great at Christmas with the family or when u got your mates round and your half drunk playing wii sports but rest of time you just feel like a pleb playing it. I mean take the wii music game £30 ok sure Christmas novelty for half hour with family after that I am not playing it alone infact I doubt id play it even with people again. |

No need, there is the
Wii Homebrew Channel.

You're confusing the Wii Remote with a light gun, it isn't. The Wii Remote is not designed for just shooting things as it is an entire controller. Unlike light guns, it uses an infrared sensor sensor bar (instead of the television itself), an accelerometer (to detect orientation and how fast it is moving), a full set of tactile response pads (commonly known as buttons) that transmit data through bluetooth, and a rumble unit and speaker for feedback.
Now that you know these facts, how does your Magnum Light Gun's novelty hold up to that of the Wii Remote?

While Nintendo already did that years ago (known as
Family Basic
), you can just do like all the other Wii Homebrew developers and use your computer to develop and then load the programs on a Wii with a SD card.
This is older:
And there are older light guns than Nintendo's Zapper, dating back as far as the 1930's.

With the Wii Homebrew Channel and you can download apps that can do all of that and more. |
