So I'm uploading one torrent; small file, 18mb. Its the Crysis sandbox editor. But the upload is currently 0kbps, at max its 3. I'm also downloading something else, and that's uploading at over 100kbps. My iISP (BE broadband, I'm happy to recommend, they are awesome providers) and speedtest.com claim that my upload should be in excess of 2.5mbps.
So why am I uploading one torrent so slowly? Is there some setting I can change?
(I've set µTorrent upload to unlimited, I've searched through google, torrent wikis and this site, please do not link me to google!)
Any
help
would be appreciated. |

Hopefully you are no spammer!
Stop all other torrents and see what happens...tell me about it.
if it is still slow: look how many peers you have -> maybe they can't download faster.
if it is fast as the others: the client distributes the bandwidth* among the torrents by some intelligent algorithm (you can change the bandwidth usage - at least in µT)
Seriously, try to learn/understand the theory behind bt ->there is no upload if there is no download and vice versa
Hope this helps
(*it is a good idea to limit the upload bw to 80% of the max up bw) |

When I'm uploading, I find it more simple to close everything else off... d/l's .... u/l's that are slowing down the one that your are trying to seed, until other seeders are helping with getting the torrent going... As well, when I'm starting to U/L I find it easier to get it going by limiting the number of connected peers and etc, to a small number so that they're helping with seeding and they're seeding abilities can help speed up the d/l's that are being d/l and then change it back to what I want to get after there's a few seeds going.... |

Ahh, that's probably it; there was only one peer. Its probably down to their download rate. |
