or maybe they'll monitor all our bodily functions, including our diet - make recommendations (b/c there'll be free health care - they have to make sure we're taking care of ourselves right??) then apply an appropriate tax that figures in how much you abuse yourself and the future health problems that may afflict you
heh, goto a diner and be told 'sorry, no pig bacon for you... according to your vitals we can give you a couple of slices of tofu bacon though or would you rather have a fruit cup?'
well that went a little Off Topic
sh*t, if "They'll" pay me i wouldn't be adverse to helping build the d@mn metering devices, then again i wouldn't use it nor pay for my air
hence my page 4 reply

Ah! how well I remember this thread....my first ever debate!!! I got slammed with the Global Warming thread in here and I went through the whole of it. I cannot believe I actually did that! Laughing

This is where I got hooked, no doubt about it.

And the topic is still worth debating....I wonder if people have anything new to contribute...in light of recent developments.

carbon caps, tariffs and trading points, a tax on the ability to pollute the air.
yes the inverse, of a tax on breathable atmosphere, but i believe its relevant
