Literature is as much a part of Art as Drawings and Pictures.
I regrettably have not read anything by him. |

fight club was my first read of his, I've also read some of his short stories here and there, I also read Lullaby....
I was already a fan of the movie so I of course loved the book for Fight Club, however Lullaby was a different experience for me, now it may have had something to do with the fact that I had just gotten done reading A Clockwork Orange, one of my favorite books, but I didn't really enjoy Lullaby, the story was interesting but I didn't like any of the characters, they seemed too out of touch for me and I just didn't really like them, also I know I always enjoy reading something with some hidden social commentary sliding its way under the rest of the story and I didn't find that in this book either and that doesn't help it either with me, it wouldn't have fit in this story anyway so its just overall not the kind of book for me, I'm sure others would enjoy it tho, atleast for its darkness and mystery.
I have heard that choke is being made into a movie any takers on that??? should I read it based on anything i've mentioned above or otherwise? |

I've read Choke and Fight Club, but my fav is
Choke
. I just loved the way he thinks/writes lol black humour at its finest. Altough I don't get why so many people are looking down on Chuck. Because his work is mostly
"underground literature"
?
If so, that's just sad. |

Eh, may I recommend reading "Fight Club"? A good healthy dose of non-boring literature. |

I recommend re-reading some of your school books , so you can structure a sentence and give a little coherence and meaning to what you post ! |

If you want to read a cool, non-fiction book by Chuck, check out this title: Fugitives and Refugees: A Walk in Portland. Not only do you get varied info about the town, but Palahniuk also adds short but (and sometime whack) true stories before each main feature / chapter. It's a quick, informative & entertaining read... and a must if you enjoy Portland (OR) or plan to visit. |

Chuck.
Oh, you sick, twisted man. I love you with all my heart.
I've read almost all the novels plus Stranger than Fiction. I'd have to say that just after Fight Club, my favorite is Invisible Monsters. Although I enjoy all his dark humor, there is something slightly hokey about all of Palahniuk's books.(the twist-endings in EVERY book get a bit tiring after awhile) Nonetheless, I still adore him, and that cynical choppiness that is his writing style.
What do you guys have to say about Choke? (the movie) I've been scared to watch it for fear that they might tear it to pieces. As fantastic as Fight Club was, it was still a bit off. |

My favourite is probably Diary, a very good read.
I have to say though, I haven't enjoyed his latest work (Haunted & Snuff) very much. |

Diary is one of my favorites so far. However; I do want to read Snuff, Choke, and Haunted. Those three sound really intriguing from what I've read about them. |
