As OG stated... "SSL on isoHunt will not stop possible action against you should you be caught infringing copyright."
So, no, you are not invincible. |

IsoHunt is workin great in one of the most ridiculously media-restricted countries in the world (next to China, of course)! I thought the world was gonna end when I moved here and I couldn't take IsoHunt with me! Keep up the great work IsoHunt and thanks for everything you help us stand for! You guy and girls are the superheroes of the new age!
And, I also hope the big E monopoly doesn't find out as well!
Now... if we could just figure out how to unblock the trackers, DHT and ports...... |

I have a question? When I use https the little lock in the corner of Firefox is open and it says that there is unauthenticated content. Is this a problem I should be worried about, and is there anyway to verify the content to correct this? I was just wondering |

Its the ads displayed on the site. Even if you have the option set to disable ads, you may still get the warning about insecure content. It's nothing to be worried about. Happens in IE also, with a popup about there being mixed content, in this case, insecure ads on an otherwise secure site. |

I've been using the https SSL encryption ever since I saw it was available on the homepage. Extra security is never a bad thing even if its only for peace of mind. What a great addition to an already great site! A big thanks goes out to whoever is responsible. |

NO, your ISP knows how much data transfer Up & Down, ssl be damned
it's good to use encryption/security what ever the case may be, but your ISP KNOWS all traffic, it's merely data volume recorded - they don't go snooping the packets and even if they did - they(ISP) are bound by privacy issues
first check out your TOS(terms of service) and see if anything specific is mentioned there - otherwise - you will still be limited to 7 GB @ 1 MB DSL if that is what you're paying for, and then be redirected to 128 kb/S after the limit or whatever the TOS states
if you are worried that your ISP is throttling your internets check out glasnost - https://isohunt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=184837
edit
7 GB per month isn't all that shabby for 1 MB DSL |
