Firstly, our search results are currently bugged with missing torrents, due to a software glitch. We are fixing this and should be corrected in no more than 2 hours.
As part of this glitch, we've upgraded our spam detectors against the ever increasing flood of spam torrents.
Secondly, we are testing a new ad format which you probably have noticed. It slides up from the bottom right corner. It doesn't show on every page, and it shows high quality advertising that should interest you. I've been wary of more intrusive ads like popups and interstitials (full page ads that you have to skip through), but advertising is doing badly in the current economy, and the slider I believe is a fair compromise.
I do want your feedback on the new ad format, it's why I'm posting this. Please tell us what you think, and I appreciate your understanding of why we are testing new ad formats. Your experience on search quality of isoHunt comes first as always.
UPDATE:
A bug has been found and fixed, that caused some more empty search results pages. |

Ads are ads, they don't really bother me, and if I had the money i'd buy them and donate too, but right now i can't even afford ramen. So do what you have to do, i love this site. |

I'm not gunna lie. As soon as I came on the site today and that popup slid up out of my corner, I rechecked to make sure that I typed the address correctly. I'm very displeased with the slider. If I want to look at something on the bottom right part of my screen, I have to scroll the bottom of the page to the top of the screen. I know that might not seem like a big thing but ANY sort of ad/pop up that won't get off my screen/out of my way gets very obnoxious, very fast.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that you have to have advertisements as revenue but please don't make it "IN MY FACE!" advertising. It's a turn off and I honestly have no idea what the ad was even for, just that I wanted it off my screen and out of my way.
My 2 cents,
Kusumuck |

I don't mind at all, the new ad format is just fine. I do hate the full page ads you have to skip over, so I appreciate you considering us in this. |

On a free torrent search website such as this who can complain about the advertisements? I dont find them intrusive at all and whatever isohunt has to do to keep things going is fine with me. |

There is a small bug with the slider ad... when going through ones email to connect to a thread you've been watching... normally you would be taken to the first post made after the last post seen.
Now it seems that from the email link... it takes you to the page, but once the popup hits you are directed back to the top of the page having to scroll to find the new post.
Not a huge deal, but rather annoying to some I would expect. |

there is an "x" at the top right of the ad, where you can just close it, if it's really causing a problem with seeing a portion of the page. |

I actually am okay with it. I have to admit that I dont look anywhere in the direction of ads but the slider catches my eye, as I am sure it's intended to do, and I have clicked on it once before. I completely understand the need for the new advertising and I wouldn't dare complain with the service that's given here. Thanks a lot guys. |

Agreed. Placing ad's in the website its self is one thing but pop-up ad's (or in this case, slide-up ad's) makes the website look desperate. And I say this because the new ad is covering a tower ad to the right. It reminds me of the days before pop-up blockers where the ad's would open up on top of one another and all you can do is keep clicking the close button to stop it.
But what do I know, I still ignore it. |

Yeah, the site's free; the downloads are free; I'm not going to complain about a small inconvenience, which I can just ignore, when I'm getting a service like this.
Feel free to spam the place with whatever adverts you need; just don't do pop-ups: I hate those. |
