Greetings,
I've read about the tracker listing, but I'm using one which isn't listed there,
will I have to redo all my torrents and add other trackers on the one I already have ?
The website tells me it doesn't recognize the one I'm using.
Thanks
Kanako |

Hi
Kanako_chan
just redo the torrent you want to share and add the trackers listed above. You should have 6 or more trackers listed incase one goes down (which looks like what has happened to you).
That's about it mate, only a minutes work! |

Your list must be sadly out of date. I can't get any non-php trackers added to my torrent. Its too bad. I used to use your list often and it worked well.
Phew on you! : |
Could anyone make a list of the most popular and updated trackers up to date? It would be really interesting to increase the number of seeders or leechers. |

I just wanted to thank all of you. this is exactly what i was looking for. Im still fairly new to the torrent world. I just started making my own torrents for UFC Classics: Volumes 1-12 and I didn't know what to add for trackers. Also I'm seeding them for the first time now and my upload rate won't break 60kb/s, using uTorrent. im the only seed and there are 4 people DLing from me....am I doing somthing wrong? Thanks again!
None of those trackers seem to work, including the ones from the link...not sure why....i just ended up going to TorrentBox and registered there...and suggestions about what i should do?...Thank you |

I have recently read these 3 post I) https://thepiratebay.org/blog/175 II) http://torrentfreak.com/common-bittorrent-dht-myths-091024/ and III) http://torrentfreak.com/bittorrent-jargon/ about DHT and PEX and how it seems to be unnecessary to use trackers anymore. (If you read that post from TPB please just skip that part about magnet links as they have nothing to do with the whole trackerless torrents issue I think.) So now I have some questions about DHT, PEX, open trackers, how ISOhunt indexes torrents and "an open tracker project" and hope someone here has some answers.
Are trackerless torrents (torrents that only use DHT and PEX) indexed on ISOhunt?
Are trackerless torrents indexed at all, perhaps on other sites, and how can they be found if they do not have trackers and are not uploaded to a filesharing site?
If trackerless torrents are not indexed here can they be found from within a search in Utorrent or any other p2p client?
Does a torrent need to have a tracker and be uploaded to a site in order to be found on the web or on indexing sites?
Are torrents that use trackers from "an open tracker project" being I) http://openbittorrent.com/ , II) http://publicbt.com/ and III) http://nfo.tracker.ilibr.org:8080/ indexed on ISOhunt
without
the torrent actually being uploaded to a filesharing site?
Are torrents that use trackers from "an open tracker project" indexed on ISOhunt
with
the torrent being uploaded to a filesharing site that does not run its own tracker? (edit: I think
yes
as this is the normal scenario for most torrents, no?)
From what I have come to understand it seems a pretty good idea to include the trackers from "an open tracker project", to allow DHT and PEX and to upload the torrent file to at least one filesharing site. Would you agree with that method or do you have other ways of spreading your uploads? If so what are those methods and most of all
why
do you use them?
This is just for the future, ideally I think it would be great if one could do a search on trackerless torrents from within the client with comments and ratings from various sites being given as a reference in a column next to the search results, similar to showing rss feed results for posts or comments.
What do you all think about this and does any of you know something about these questions? |
