Not Again!!! Those @#$%! passworded RAR files!!!

Dont you just hate it when you download some file you've been hanging out for and go to open it (it's been compressed as a .RAR file) only to find that it has been password protected.

Some of them include a link to a site, but when you get there it's in some foreign language I don't understand a word of, and the only way to get the pasword is to register. How to register? Dunno... can't read all those strange words. Dead end. Delete file?

Can anybody out there assist me with this one--the latest culprit is a site called tu-musica.net , though I have a couple others saved somewhere that were from a site called trackermania or musicmania or something.

Damn, I wish they wouldn't do that. I don't consider it to be within the spirit of sharing.

Think the reason they started doing it, in some circumstances under international law, in order for the feds to obtain the passwords they have to go through disclaimers which lesson their powers, I expect this kind of thing to get worse in future.

well i got my torrent supposedly from trackermania.com and the password is not there =( Where do i get this password breakers or whatever?

try the web sites url 9 times out of 10 they use it for the password.

in seeing this problem i have dug out a good file to have,

this is Advanced Password Recovery Tool Kit covers a good stack
of file types including rar and zip, for when you reallly need that
file Smile

i just posted this so the torrent might not be listted yet, but i
included a edonkey link and my mule is on donkeyserver no3 but
gl with that, its que stays pretty full..

Yeah thanks for the effort on the trackermania link, but tu-musica is my problem, i mean come on, i can't f**kin read spanish tu-musica people...

that's hilarious too, inside the folder which has a passworded .rar file there is a hyperlink to their site, and a txt file that says "downloaded from tu-musica.net" allright i f**kin get it, tu-musica.net, good for you, you need to get your hit-count up for your 1000's of porn banner ads.

Allright, for all isohunt users, I made a tu-musica account that everyone can freely use, the login name is "user1" and the password is "user1" so feel free to log in under that name, click on passwords and find the password you want, for instance the mario - turning poing password is 1297. make sure after using you click on "my account" and click "logout/salir." peace
