Just a thought...

Which one you think helps you guide your way around
new countries you are at (if ever) /visted or in your own area/country...

mapquest.com
maps.google.com (google maps)
maps.yahoo.com (yahoo maps)
maps.live.com (i think, of MSN)...
bizfindernw.com
whereis.com

If I forgot or missed any other mapping directory service in your place please tell me...
what made you choose the one you choose among the rest?
what is the thing that attracted you in that site?
what functionality did you think is better developed?

Thanks in advance for your input...

Google Maps rocked for me when I was in Australia cause I had absolutely no idea where the hell I was going, but it helped me manage to find everything I wanted. Including all the clubs and bars down at Surfers Paradise.

I think it rocks for local/suburban use too seeing as how the metro Atlanta area has absolutely no grid system downtown like any other, normal, city.

I've always used yahoo maps simply because yahoo is my home page. I don't know if any of the other services are any better but the yahoo one works fine for occasionally looking up addresses and such. For directions I just use my GPS.

I use Yahoo indirectly through my provider, but same thing. I'd be lost without my GPS.

That is sad weren't any of you in the scouts? All I need is my compass and I can get any where.

I listen to the wind, it speaks to me and tells me where to go. Forget the compass, the wind has been everywhere.

i love and hate maps.google
i have foolishly followed the instructions with some sort of blind fanatical faith that the printed word was correct
despite my compass, common sense, and posted signs telling me otherwise
(in other words google maps is great, but not yet 100% accurate)

i also use my Rand McNally and other paper maps when i have too

Google Maps has been serving me very well.
Of course, I only use it on private browsing mode.
