Honestly I base a good poster off of their post structure, post count, or reputation means nothing as long as your posts have structure, and have a valid point to them.
Friendliness is just a way of saying that you don't know what you're talking about but you're fine with everyone's opinion.
Well what's your opinion of a good poster isohunt? |

Well at least I'm not alone, ha ha.
Wow djdivinorum you've been busy today. Well it looks like your posts have all followed your criteria at least. I always build a good structure. Always double bolt my joints and dig the foundation at least 50% deeper than required. Makes for a structure that will last forever! |

Thanks for the comment about my posts, and yeah I'd have to agree with you there, have to have a good structure if you want the building to last.

All I'm saying, you waltz in here make 300 posts in 5 mins, and then ask us what makes a good poster, you asked I gave you my, albeit cryptic, opinion |
Okay, you're talking to someone who Moderates, and even Administrates many forums. Rather than gathering up on facts you argue just because "I'm a new guy," and discriminate by how many posts I made in a few minutes, did you even take the time to read any of those posts?
Though your opinion is an opinion, of which I respect, at least try and gather up some facts before you try to bring someone down. |

Hi djdivinorum,
LINK
I enjoyed some of your mixes.
Formula for posters? I guess writing in a friendly style using facts, or even emotions to convey clearly information which benefits more than just the writer, or allows others an insight into how another human feels about subjects of interest to the reader.
I hope that makes sense, I just got back from New Years Celebrations and my brain is chemically retarded at the moment. |

yeah some of the mixes on the site i liked too
to answer your question, i think the structure is important as well as the quality of your information... though if you are writing to unknowns it is a good idea to have reputation as some people will solely judge you on that before wanting to listen to what you have to say...
If someone with No rep told me something and someone with Rep said another and i trusted the rep system then I would be inclined to go with the more repped person... so I think they all work together |

Me too,
Tifa
!
I judge each post on its merits. I used to be judgmental on bad spelling and grammar. I was never fain to correct such but would think less of the "poster's" opinion. But I got over myself and am now able to receive the post, and thereby the "poster", on their own terms.
Sometimes when I read a post I find everything I had to say has been said, so I don't post. That's why I like when opinions are asked for. I can always give my opinion.
Also advice. Please take my advice, I'm not using it!
Seriously though, one piece of advice I feel may be pertinent at this juncture is something my Grandfather suggested once when I was young and prattling.
He said: "
Timothy, when you talk you are asking people to take the time to listen. When you speak, say something and make sure it is worth someone's time to listen. Sometimes somethings need to be said but people don't want to hear it, say it anyway it'll do them good. Sometimes, for numerous reasons, people aren't able to speak up for themselves - be a voice for those who have none and need one.
"
I still prattle somewhat and my posts can tend to be overlong, but I try to keep within my Grandfather's framework and usually judge a post, or any communication, on his standard.
edit:
How
many posts in one day?
Strike a light ! I must have look at what you had to say. I was going to say "get a life" but the irony of my intentions to read all your posts may have been lost. |

I actually use a lot of criteria I generally don't rep someone until they've been around for a bit, and even then probably not as often as I should. People are different though, to expect the same thing out of each one of them is a ridiculous notion. Having as many posts as I do I have everything ranging from pointless , to silly, to helpful and informative under my belt. Hell if you started looking at them all you'd probably become convinced I suffer from multiple personalities but I participate in, and stand behind this community as a whole. I hope that's the big picture and I hope no one expects much more... because I'm not giving out sexual favors, except to the hot girls... feel free to pm for info |

Making people laugh or amused is
one
of the higher purposes of communication in my opinion. Humour often entails the ridiculous or nonsensical, but it still serves a purpose. |

a good poster is when it it is of a hot chick or hot car.oh wait i guess i watsed mine?
a good poster knows it.a poll should not be able to tell.if your active and your funny but knowledgeable when need you'll do ok.to me IMO it does net matter how many posts you get.for instance im pretty damn sure it took me at least a month or maybe to go get to 53 which means i have a life? |

Generally all of the above. If a post is interesting enough to cause a stir it's good for me. Whether it's silly games or political. |
