Channel / Network adding

Firstly, you are welcome to advertise and talk about your channels here, that's one reason for this Channel Chat forum. I'm planning some new members-only feature, 1 of them being a custom page for advertising your channel. Until then, you can do it here.

If you want to advertise / add your network to isoHunt's index, check to see if it's already indexed, and if not post in this forum and I'll add it.

For channels, some things you should know:

1. Channels are added AUTOMATICALLY for networks the index bot visits, via a simple... gasp... /LIST. If I can find your chan by a /list, so can the bot. So no need to request adding your channel.

2. Channels are indexed if there's at least 20 users on it when the bot gets on. It will then be crawled for XDCCs and Fserves. If it sees less than 20 users or no XDCCs / fserves advertised for 3 joins in a row, it will stop coming to such channel.

3. This site has a no porn policy. If your channel name contains porn specific keywords, it will not be indexed by the bot, sorry.

there needs to be at least 1 chan with >20 users and xdccs / fserves, or bot won't stay on network.
