Firefox Search Engine

I created an ISOHunt firefox search engine plugin. Works great aside from the fact that it does not support the "Advanced Search Sidebar" (a great extension that allows people to search multiple sites with one search). In other words you can search ISOHunt with this Search Engine, but you cannot use the Search Sidebar to search a list of multiple sites that includes ISOHunt. On the note of the search engine not supporting the sidebar, this is a result of the way the site is set up. The links on the site only show the text [DL]. Hence whenever searching with the sidebar, all the results that show up simply show the text "[DL]" for each link. The links work, but you may not necessarily know what you are clicking. It would be nice if the admin at the site here could set it up so that the download link showed the title of the torrent. This would enable the site to work correctly with this Firefox Extension.

how about you just change the plugin to work with the site?

<span title=$torrent_name>$torrent_title</span> is a general search result setup... if you can't handle that, work on setting up some rss parsing Wink

is how to get an rss listing of the same search results.

Correct, sidebar search results should use rss feeds. For a simple dropdown search shortcut in firefox, use these
