A real tough nut this. They are both so very good. They both have such inimitable styles. Yet you feel you could swap their roles in any of their movies and you would not feel the loss.

Except maybe for 'The Scent of a Woman'. I simply could not imagine De Niro doing that Tango. Nope.

My vote goes to Al Pacino.

My favourite Pacino movie has to be Devil's Advocate, and De Niro, just about all his movies. So that tells ya my fave out of the 2 is De Niro, I mean come on, the guy even had a song named after him

DeNiro is awesome too though (ignoring the lame comedies)
Casino, Goodfellas, Godfather Part II, A Bronx Tale, Once upon a time in America, Raging Bull.

Scarface is my favourate movie EVER though so that puts Pacino ahead for me.

(My mom also named me Pacino cos of that film, she was 16 when pregnant and had a crush).

What about Cape Fear when DeNiro is totally ape shit nuts. He bites the cheek off that one chick that Nolte was bangin on the side.

But Pacino is definately willing to do whatever it takes to remain on top, for christ sakes he was the DEVIL! which was also one of my faves. Scent of a Woman too, cause he can really deliver a speech. Seriously at the end when he sticks up for Chris O'donnel before his whole school, priceless.

DeNiro....Pacino.... you can't really compare them. They both play gangsters a lot, but neither of them is a suck ass actor. Usually, you have one person that everyone loves and a guy who just some people love but actually he sucks and those people are teeny boppers... In this situation tis not the case. Although, it works - I really couldn't decide either, but when you put it that way I would pick De Niro .

I think that both have had classic and influential roles but as far as being a cultural icon and sex symbol, De Niro wins hands down.
