Im always under "A"..always have been here just to download movies for free...y do we need to got to the thetres wen you cool dudes the movies ....All torrents rock...i love isohunt......... Embarassed

I was so excited when my husband told me I could get my music like he got his movies with Torrents, then I got angry: he'd kept this from me, thinking I'd object. Far from it; now that he's gone I'm doing it. The stigma that comes with it as if it would keep us from downloading. I'm trolling the forum for answers, like when do you delete those files you don't want , and how to open some. This isn't the time and place for those questions, I know but if someone wants to give a lesson look me up, it would be appreciated. Wink

Admittedly I dont seed what I download unless requested that much. But I do upload my own conversions (from my own movie collection) and seed them constantly. So I do give back in my own way. Smile

I haven't read through every response to this topic (zomg there's bunches of them!) but I think for the most part I fall into a grey area between many of the categories.

I do download things that intrigue me (considering I haven't watched a 'new' movie in like 10 years, and haven't torrented that long, I don't know where that leaves me there)

When I have money, I do buy the ones I really enjoyed, and wanted to help promote, this applies to movies/music/software, and deleted the ones I didn't like, in the end, had I not tried many of these things I did buy, I wouldn't have bought them due to a very limited budget. I can honestly say they only gained from sharing from me.

Where movies are concerned though there is another issue. Movies that are not in the format I want/need. I don't want to buy a VHS version of a movie I like, I have no VHS player, could I get one? Probably but then that's not worth it. I don't want a dvd, I have no tv, and putting it in my laptop is a hassle, and heaven help you if you try to rip a dvd, last I checked -that- breaks the copyright in some way. I want a digital medium, period. When itunes or amazon has the movie I want to download? I pay for it (especially if previewed and enjoyed, see aforementioned thing) but the amount of movies on these services is very limited. example: I want to watch stargate, nope, not on itunes, nope not on amazon, but hey it's on the amazon store for like $5 but it's dvd.....nope, none of the other sellers have a downloadable version....>.< digital media = good

I use torrents cause theyre free, i wouldn't pay for it if it wasnt free so the copyright owners arent losing anything.
