Can PCs view both PAL and NTSC DVDs?

I downloaded the Godfather trilogy DVD, but the iso is in PAL format. There are regions to the actual DVD drive that can only be changed a few times. Can I watch the PAL DVD on my PC using PowerDVD or WinDVD without changing regions? Or does it not matter?

BTW, the same of the torrent I got it from is:
The Godfather Part II (1974)_DVD1and2.ratDVD.WS.5.1.MENTAL

I have converted the ratDVD to a standard DVD, hence the iso.

im pretty sure it should play both without a problem

In order to get a dvd onto the HD the protection has to go. Most decrypters will also remove region as well.

YOU have to change the region code. I dont believe its automatic.

Or you could check up you dvd drive make and model and look for a firmware update to change it to a multi region drive

simply download the firm ware update the drive and away you go region free so start googling
