I'm using Vista 64bit and cannot get PG2 to work to save my life. I installed then tried to update and I keep getting an error message. If anyone can help me please do so! Also, this Azerus or whatever... Does it work pretty good at blocking like PG2 does? I'm thinking about tossing utorrent if it does. Let me know what you people think.

Sorry I was wrong before! PG2 wouldn't install at all and the first link you sent me is the one that gives me the error message when I try to update!

I will try the second link though and see where that takes me!

US Congress spending 30 million on anti piracy, take a look..

http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/20884.cfm

or if ur too lazy to click the link, it states the following...

The MPAA has announced that the United States Congress has allocated $30 million in funding for anti-piracy measures, part of the Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act.

"Congress took a major step forward by providing $30 million in funding for new FBI agents, federal prosecutors, and local and state law enforcement grants to protect American jobs and creativity by cracking down on the theft of movies and other intellectual property," added MPAA chairman and CEO Dan Glickman.

$20 million will go to "new state and local economic, high technology and Internet crime prevention grants," says TheHollywoodReporter, while $8 million will go towards new FBI agents "targeting IP crimes." The final $2 million is for "new Department of Justice IP prosecutions."

Glickman also lauded the piracy crack-down operation dubbed Holiday Hoax which has so far led to the arrest of seven sellers of counterfiet software and movies, and the confiscation of 79,796 counterfeit CDs and 79,610 DVDs. "Copyright industries in the U.S. lose $25.6 billion a year in revenue to piracy, the U.S. economy loses nearly 375,000 jobs either directly or indirectly related to the copyright industry, and American workers lose more than $16 billion in annual earnings," he noted.

That's government money though, 30 million is about enough for them to set up an office somewhere, hire a few people, then the budget will be blown...

So realistically as long as I don't have Millions of pirated DVDs, Selling these DVDs im pretty much set in Australia. The cost of movies here are ridiculous with your average new release costing $30 and to see it in the movies $20, i remember when i could see 2 movies for that price and they'd be half decent instead of wasting 30 minutes of my time watching their damn adverts. Also i wonder why Australians have to pay $1.19 in the iTunes store to get a song where it only costs $.99 for Americans when the AUD and USD is pretty much par for par. /Frustration

Well, not sure this the right thread, but it is about copyright infringement, so, here goes.

I find it absolutely righteous (and funny) that Warner Bros is getting sued for copyright infringement, over a tattoo design in the upcoming movie The Hangover 2. Full/partial story here.

I havent read through this thread so it might have come up already, but cant you only be sued for copyright infringement if you are sharing the files with other people, as opposed to just downloading them?
