I think bluetack has bandwidth limitations. So sometimes it's just a matter of waiting a day or two and it usually picks back up. |

you may need to do a complete removal (deleting the program folder after removing normally) and restart and reinstall the program and see if that works.
This problem is actually known to be more of a pg2 problem.
Did you previously have pg2 on the same machine?
because it leaves behind a appdata folder I believe that I've read caused this problem. |

I've now uninstalled and reinstalled and am back on peerblock v 1.0.
It didn't update when I checked so I'll try again tomorrow. |

Servers Wanted!
In the past few months I-Blocklist has seen a significant increase in the number of users.
This means that once again we are in need of additional mirrors and we would like your help.
The requirements are a linux server with ftp access and at least 1000GB a month transfer available.
Anyone that provides a mirror gets I-Blocklist VIP access in return.
Please contact me at email removed |

Hi. I'm using vista and I notice that windows is blocking peerblock at startup. How do I change it so that peerblock can startup without being blocked? |

Hi, noobie here. I know the very basics of using torrents....
Is there a FAQ somewhere of how I can properly use this software? The do's and don'ts? Thanks! |

Nice, I installed it and it seems to work. But Im not sure on how safe it is.
Got a letter a few weeks ago because I d/l'd Supreme Commander 2.
the first letter ever, and I was torrenting since years.
Use Telekom as ISP , german Internet provider.
Now I am of course afraid, got me PeerBlock now.
Used BitLord, should I use µtorrent instead?
There seem to be proxy functions in Bitlord and Utorrent.
Does anybody know a proxy, or if that actually helps?
ALso, a friend said "Uploading" is the major danger. |

yes uploading is the major issue of what gets you caught... tho nothing is 100% effective...the best idea is to keep it updated and not download copyrighted things that may get you caught... some things like that are really popular things at the moment
you should ditch bitlord as it is banned on many trackers for sending bad data and can also be used as a cheater client.. basically to fudge seed and leech numbers |

Bitlord uses the same build as BitComet, that's why it is banned on a lot of trackers (just like BitComet, by the way). BitComet made a couple of versions (somewhere around the 0.56 edition) which could connect to peers without sending data to the tracker, which, of course, had those peers in trouble as their ratio got screwed-up. Although the BitComet team apologized and altered their subsequent builds, they're still banned for a client version which hasn't been in use for over 6 years...
But, since the introduction of DHT (also 'invented' by the BitComet team), basically anyone can get in touch with anyone else (provided folks have a torrentfile bearing the same code) without saying hello to the tracker. That's why on private trackers with a ratio system implemented, DHT is also out of the question... |

Hello,
Can any body tell me about the Peers and Seeders, which one should be better for downloading.
Thanks,
John Farris |
