Private forums.

i prefer isohunt to any other forums because of the freindly helpfull people here and you dont get that on the private sites so public forums definitly gets my vote .

Not familiar with Newsgroups A_D, on those you don't seed right? You just pay to be a member and download? If so, that might be a good option for someone with limited download/upload amounts too.

I think private sites do have some plus points fast speeds getting things first ...but its not that long before some of the torrents is on a public site...Some private sites have all movie torrents in rar files and are strait from the Newsgroups.. I have also seen big name uploaders that do well on public sites and don't really have name on private sites..
I also believe that some people do download from private and upload them to other sites but change the format of the movies but I could be wrong .. As for the forums I do think public forums are the best..
If you can afford a seedbox or have money its easy going in the private sites.. freeleach or micro seeding does work but can take a bit longer I personally think its much easier seeding in a public site because of so many leachers on a popular torrent ..

Indeed but the difference between public and private is you can't really show your ratio..

You will always see people in private sites showing their ratios to the others which will make some users compete with eachother who got a higher ratio

You don't see that in public sites because you don't have a ratio (Ratio in the website I mean)

To people who got a slow upload connection ratio is killing them in private websites so that's why some websites get these people to seed for a period of time

well the ideology seemed to me to basically be, if you have slow internet you are only allowed to download 1 file a month, then you must spend the rest of the month doing your absolute best just to get a even ratio, that you will then be tormented over because it's not as high as mister I have a 300 dollar a month connection.

As for private forums I don't really know of any.
I know of forums with private sections, but I don't really see any problem with them.

...it may just be none of my, or your business...

I know what I like and dislike about private and public sites, but ultimately I think its irrelevent. The choice exists and nobody is limited to one site, you can have both.

Private site users are screener watchers, they cant wait for something. 99% of stuff on private sites winds up on public sites anyway. Comes down to be impatient.

I'm not big on screeners anymore but when a big movie first comes out as a BRrip I'll be the first to admit that I want it instantly. To some this is a bad thing, to some it's a good thing. Personally, I don't worry about peoples opinions of me but yes I do want the newest thing as soon as I can get it. Maybe it's just my generation or just me.

not everything can be found on public sites, I usually go to one of my private sites to get things I can't find on public ones or if the torrent is dead a lot of times it's still good on private sites and usenet groups.

So currently I use all 3 and can get whatever easy. Wink

I dont mean everything, I use them for obscure stuff. But most things people download I mean turn up on public sites. The things you and me are prolly on about will never show up.

Private site forums lack the input from the masses that you get on public sites. Isohunt forums is the only place i post an read on a daily basis, why? because ....... ISOHUNT RULES! Cool

For thous of you who are wondering why in private sites most the uploads are in rar form, its cause they are scene releases...and a scene release got rules of its own...

I like private sites cause the torrents that are allowed to be reuploaded I encode with subtitles and upload them to dumpsites, aka direct downloads for israeli's who do not have the connection for priv trackers ( which sadly means israel has the most cheaters )..

As for priv forums I got some i belong to, the community is actually surprisingly okay, i mean if you get into the forum you might as well check it out but they have very nice conversations ect. The reason? Most priv forums are for trading invites for priv trackers, which is ironic cause i was suppose to hunt these guys down before I joined them Laughing

( not trading I really liked the community)
Back to the tracker, there are many reasons for a priv tracker, many already listed here. To me the biggest reason is for people who care about their torrents and actually get into the mechanics of it a lot..I dont know how to explane it..On most priv trackers sadly the staff is a bunch of people who may not be bad people, but they act like the way they do for a reason...Its like when you got a boss who gets orders from his boss, you hate the boss for doing shit you hate, but the boss cant really do anything about it. Thats why the boss gets more money in addition to other things.

I suck at getting my point across so you might be at a " WTF" stage..
