Dont you think ... TV's ... are like Evil? 8/

As much as you argue that tv is evil computers and the internet top it any day. Tv at has more structure and control than the internet. Think of the terrible programming you could acess on your tv if it was as simple to air a tv channel as it is to host a website. So sure, tv is evil in its own ways, but the structure of it keeps it to a more mellow evil:)

I'm sorry, but that's crap! How can you blame prejudice and hatred on TV? That's ridiculous! Hatred/prejudice have always existed and sadly always will. Where was TV when Hitler executed 1,000s of Jews? Where was TV when blacks across America (and elsewhere) were being persecuted by white supremacists K.K.K.? And you can't even blame TV for the prejudice against homosexuals by Muslims!
TV has it's bad points as well as it's good points (as does everything in this world today).

No - TV is just a a media like the internet where we are all exposed to and it is our choice to choose what we want to watch, believe or listen to. Therefore it is up to the individual to decide what is best for oneself.

TV is not t3h evil.

I just started back watching it from getting my cable back, though.
It's rather addicting...you can end up watching it for 3 hours or more & not even realize it...

But anyway.
I find shows [or cartoons, rather] that touch on political issues in a comical way being just that--comical. I don't find it brainwashing. People will always believe in what they choose to believe in...watching a show on television more than likely won't change their views on an issue.

I wouldn't say TV's completely evil but there are some programs that are aimed on the negative side of things.Those programs should be banned forever.Whose with me?

You can't blame TV for people's bad behaviour, if someone goes out and chops up a Dozen women, it's so easy to say, it wasnt me it was the TV shows that made me do it. It is the individual that commits the 'evil' acts, so therefore it should be the individual that should be perceived as 'evil'

i love my TV, it's how i play my consoles
televised programming? nah i'll just download what i want and watch it on my computer (no commercials)

Im not with you. Spacebitch is correct on this. An individuals actions is down to the individual. This planet is been ruined by mommy coddling, over protective, finger pointing, uneducated dickheads.

TV is awesome. The programs.. not so much. I hate shows like Katie Couric that try to pass as news, but is always biased. I can never get the news without hearing someone else's opinion! At least finish the story, then say "WARNING! What follows is my opinion!" So I have enough time to change the channel to Family Guy. (I know Family Guy is biased to, but i don't take it serious. I think that it is hilarious)

I agree. Some people are influenced by the violent stuff they see on TV but that doesn't make it evil. It depends on the person if he wants to be good or bad. Whatever bad things people learn from TV is their fault.

i started my life watching a TV screen and cos of that my eyesight took a hefty toll. and like beer, too much of it kills brain cells.

sometimes i buy into the shopping Chanel. they can persuade me if i watch for too long. tv is mostly influential to weak or young minds. i am certainly conscious of what i let my child watch.
