Take our channel off your indexes and keep your bots out

We do not serve warez and we do not appreciate your spamming or your indexing of our channel without our permission. Set your bot to default at no index or you're risking backlash from people you're spamming.

Your bot joined our channel at 9:00am EST, which is during an extremely low activity period for the channel, and as such, there was no one here to respond to it. Furthermore, as an op of the channel, why was I not given the option to opt out my entire channel? I DO NOT WANT THIS CHANNEL ON THE WEB.

Delete this post once you've removed our channel from your index, as I said before, I do not want this channel on the web, and that includes this forum.

One chan op is msged with opt-out instructions. It's picked out of randam, the bot prob. picked another op on your channel.

And yes, I admit "informing" ppl of their fserves being indexed while they are not there is bad in not really giving them a choice. But I can't think of any better way.

For removing your channel, as said on the front page I'm not taking anymore manual removal requests. Make a ON JOIN event, and ctcp the bot with "/ctcp IH-beta IH #roms <bot noindex>", so u don't have to be there when the bot comes on your channel. Bot nick is IH-beta in case you haven't noticed.

and the ctcp command doesn't do cr*p... I've msg the bot several times and I'm consistantly kicking them out of the channel AND there is still stuff listed on this site

them? there's only 1 bot. nick is IH-beta. Indexing doesn't have to come from me only you know. riaa comes to mind.

And i've had no success yet of making an AI bot. It can't understand your /msg of "get out". It won't get out if you typed the wrong CTCP command.

If you did type the _correct_ CTCP command, tell me what the bot replied / not replied, what you typed, so I can fix it.

do you expect us to wait days for the IH-beta bot to come in, while the indexes of MANY people's chans still sit on your website? this is preposterous

u sound like you are sitting on a pot of coal. What's the hurry? and it's not like I _want_ to let the bot make infrequent channel visits. i'm resource limited.

And unless u r actually getting sued because of this site, read my other posts before u make comments about legal concerns.

the bot msged you with information on how to make it to leave the channel and not come back again. It's up to you whether you want to respond to the bot's msg with the right command.

I put that <no index> tag into my topic, and I'm still seeing that f**kin bot and my channel is still indexed. Write your damn bot correctly before unleashing it on us. It is now banned from the channel.

was in the topic for over a week, the bot still comes back. Am I forced to keep this retarded tag in my topic until someone pings you to death?

Did u put "<no index>" in your topic? The tag is "<bot noindex>". I see a number of channels with the <bot noindex> tag, ( http://irc..(de)/channels/?num=0&query=%3Cbot+noindex%3E ), it does seem to work.

Also here documents the new CTCP commands u can tell the bot to leave your channel immediately and delete all files indexed. So u don't have to put the tag in your topic if u don't want to.

It would also be helpful if u put down your channel name.
