Wait, isnt the best time to be fully asleep from 10 pm to 2 am. I hear that this is the most rejuvenating(wander if its right spelling) time for the body.
Well for me thats the time when I study and do all homework. And it takes me about an hour or two to fully fall asleep.
Has any of you guys meditated all night, you know the state of mind when body is asleep and the mind is awake in bliss. I've experienced it only twice, I was kinda conscious in a dream but i didnt know how the to wake up.
Meditating is hard, but very beneficial, if youve trained enaugh to be able to do it properly. |
What you're experienceing is called lucid dreaming and it's pretty kick ass. Lucid dreaming is achieved through a variety of methods, meditation being one of them. Practice works really well too. Physically, lucid dreaming is going to benefit you by increasing the length of your REM sleep and leaving you much more well rested. Your mind really isn't "awake" so to speak, it's still in a sleeping state yet admittedly in a more active one, as REM sleep generates more Alpha? wave activity (it could be beta I can't remember). In any case, lucid dreaming is fun too, in a metaphysical sense. What could be more fun then being god over your own little pseudo-reality? |

First of all, I get tons of sleep because I'm done from school right now. I get anywhere from 11-13 hours of sleep every day . I personally consider sleeping the most important factor to keep oneself healthy. I have no idea how people can wake up 24+ hours without sleeping >_< It is personally very hard for me.

I have to say something about this, since I experience this whenever I want to. I don't have to meditate or something crazy to achieve it, I simply have to wish and think for it before I sleep.
When I'm dreaming I can 90% of the time tell that I am dreaming and from then on I can *literally* do anything I want. It really is quite fun to be able to control every aspect of the world . |

My sleeping pattern is very erratic.
I go to sleep when I'm tired and get up when I wake up.I usually only sleep 5-6 hours.
Am I stressed all the time?YES! |

I don't sleep nearly enough and when i do sleep i have some recurring fucked up nightmares, one of the reasons i don't sleep is undoubtedly down to this but I am in a lot of physical pain as well (I got wounded in IRAQ) that keeps me up. The lack of sleep makes me angry and depressed I is also leading to a hell of a lot of drinking my last bender was 72hours with out sleep and a lot of Alcohol, some of my friends are getting worried about it but I think I am ok because the booze helps with the pain and that is all that counts at the moment. |

If you really want to lose your mind just keep going on 72 hour benders with no sleep. |
