WHO ARE SMARTER BOYS OR GALS?

I've had this question in my mind since grade 1.

Which of the sexes is smarter?

During all history most scientific/mathematical discoveries have been made by men.
But women have been discriminated during history and only recently in the last 100 years started getting rights(i.e right to vote).
However we've had some decent female minds( i.e the first computer programmer, princes Ada Byron king)

Nevertheless we are still different (one's a stick and the other a hole duh..)

Thing is , i dont think there is a definative answer here, so im refraining from casting my vote.

I know some pretty smart boys and some darn clever girls. I also know some pig shit men and so very dense women. Both Male and Female, your intelligence quota has to take so many other factors into account than simply your gender.

exactly, smart is such a relative term that can mean so much. I dont think there is a smarter or more dominent sex it has just worked out so that all bases are covere when males and females work together the weakness of one can be the strength of the other

Usually(some of you might say stereotypically) women are more organised than man. The keep a schedule, diary, are good at remembering dates times places.

Men are more spontanious, think of five things at a time and only do half a thing. In other words it is more likely for a genius to be a man than a woman.

This is all just my opinion, but during all my school years i have observed this, boys are smarter, but girls get better marks. Girls spend 3-4 more times studying but only get 5-20% better.

So yea, in my opinion guys are smarter, they just dont like to be smart, men usually prefer watching porn and jacking off than to extra studying.

I mean look at homer, you might say he is a dumbass but he sure is smart at scaming people and understanding the big picture.

Hmm... maybe i should specify in what are and how the two sexes can be compared at smartness.

Lets say in the IT(information technology) field; most workers are men, but is that because generally women are dumber in math and technology or because the just dont like technology?

i think such questions as "who is better/smarter/whatever?" are a bit childish... Smile

besides, you can't generalise these things.
i know some girls who are much better in maths or physics than boys.
but of course that doesn't automatically mean that girls are better in maths/physics than guys. Cool

and it's the same the other way round. there's no answer to this question and, to be honest, it think thats good

Completely wrong my friend, you should look beyond the confines of your classroom, and into the big wide world. True , only in more recent years have openings been avaible for the Women, and even then it was often the case that a female would have to be twice as smart do extra work and have more achievements than a male would, just to get a job that pays less that her oppisite gender. Nowdays things are a lot more equal but still these attitudes can remain, passed on hrough teachers, bosses, peers etc...

i re-iterate what i say before; Some people are intelligent some people are not so intelligent. The more intelligent you are the more likely you will realise that gender is not a significant factor in deciding your intelligence, rather how your culture treats and teaches each gender.

You need a 3rd [null] vote, be a bit more reasonable.

Your whole idea of woman be half wits in technology or disliking it is completely irrelavent, the correct term would be "less intelligent" doesnt sound like much of a difference, but trust me there is. The main reason is because of lack of pay rates in the tertiary fields, women naturally get paid less in tertiary education jobs.

p.s. but i still mantain that gals are complete dimwits in their dealings with technology n stuff Twisted Evil
