A long time ago I let a buddy play tribes on my computer.
Apparently he installed some mod or something.
Anyhow about a week later I decided to play a game, and the first thing I saw was a army of naked women charging at me with guns...
Anyhow, I lol'ed. |

Same thing happens when you let a friend play Sims on your PC.. and he downloads the naked patch for Sims games |

Okay here is a top 10, in no particular order.....
1. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Return to Shadow Moses...
This moment was absolutely perfect. Not only did the game revert back to PSOne graphics for the start but it had some excellent atmospheric music with voice overs playing from the original game, flashback style. For me it showed why Metal Gear Solid was such an amazing franchise and also brought home the fact that this was the last proper sequel.
2. Bioshock - Would you kindly?...
I won't go into detail on this one, but its when you find out just how manipulated you have been and in the most shocking of ways. This game is a masterpiece.
3. Uncharted 2 - Crushing Victory...
Completed the game on Crushing difficulty to earn my Platinum Trophy and my right to toss this classic into the "don't even want to look at it again" category.
4. Knights of the Old Republic - Hi, my name is......
...Revon lol. Massive twist and expertly executed. This is a classic game that deserves to have been played my more people.
5. Ridge Racer - Beat the Devil....
Yes the PS One launch game. On a boiling hot summers day, while everyone was out playing, I was in my room playing Ridge Racer. The day was not wasted though. I beat the 2 fastest cars in the game and unlocked the Devil car. Quite an achievement considering that game didnt even have a rear view mirror for blocking.
6. Final Fantasy VII - Ruby in the sand...
Beat Ruby Weapon. Enough said.
7. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Its a big world out there...
The part where you leave the linear constraints of the sewer and are faced with an almost intimidatingly large horizon to explore at your own pace.
8. Grand Theft Auto 3 - I demand a refund!...
This going to sound bad, but my favorite bit was picking up a hooker in my limo, taking her to an alley to "get down" then beating her to death with a baseball bat to get my money back.
What?
9. Soldier of Fortune - Everything must go....
Not a great game I will grant you. But there is something to be said for catching a bad guy in the toilette, blowing of his head the all four limbs with a shotgun before he hits the ground then blowing up the corpse with a grenade when finished and seeing masses of blood spread all over the bathroom. Excessive, but awesome fun!
10. Half-Life 2 - Its all good!
That whole game was an experience, I loved it every step of the way. Its up there with Final Fantasy VII as best game ever made for me.
PS. Hope you like those dumb captions I added lol |

...the ladder scene in the first F.E.A.R. when you look up from your feet and she's just....
there
. It's the only time I have actually screamed while playing a game. |

Pac I don't see how you could make that list like that and leave out the totally morbid and unique humor that made portal what it was. |

Alright, so this is by no means a complete list of my memorable gaming moments, but here goes...
1. Fallout.
War. War never changes. From this finalistic statement begins a long journey past dangerous mutants and bloodthirsty marauders. Choosing a favorite moment from this game is a challenging ordeal but I'd say my favorite moment would be acquiring the water chip. The reward for all your efforts is the salvation of your village.
2. Final Fantasy IX.
This is, in my opinion, a grossly underestimated game in the Final fantasy series. I love nearly every aspect of this game but the most memorable moment for me would be the discovery of Zidane's origins. I won't ruin the surprise, but needless to say, when you come across it in the story, it changes your view on the character you have grown to love.
3. Elder Scrolls III Morrowind.
Ah, Morrowind. The source of many spent hours. Despite it glitches and graphic (Both of which are easily remedied now.), this proves itself to be a long, enjoyable adventure rife with foreboding deities and dangerous enemies. My number one moment in this game would be the discovery of your true self. Yes, this is quite a discovery that changes how you look at your character.
4. GTA Vice City.
My favorite moment would be when I first hear Tommy Vercetti speak. From this moment one I would have a character that actually felt alive and breathing. No more bland mutes from this point on for the GTA series.
5. Metal Gear Solid.
A work of art designed by a true artist, this is Kojima's masterpiece. From the unique cast of heroes and villains to the stirring musical pieces throughout the game, this game makes this an experience to remember. My most memorable moment would be the hair raising fight with Metal Gear Rex. Fighting a walking nuke launcher certainly isn't a fight you would expect to be easy but it certainly is a memorable one.
6. Gran Turismo 3.
Unlocking the Formula 1 races. Holy mother of all that is holy this took a long time! But once this task has been completed, racing other F1 cars in the very last race is a most satisfying experience. |
