Current Events - Starting Topics

It seems we have had a slew of Israel threads lately and slowly we (mainly me) have been locking them one by one due to flaming and so forth.
I would like to remind users of this forum that subject has been banned before due to users been unable to debate without making the subject personal.
If recent behavior is anything to go by it is likely to happen again unless users can keep a clear head and avoid pointless arguing. Its not something I would like to see happen as I believe the forums should be open to any discussion. However we have more important things to do than deal with petty bickering.
If you want to discuss a topic that you find sensitive, please bare in my that your opinion is open to interpretation. If you cannot handle criticism on a subject you believe you "own", dont post the topic, full stop.
If you have an issue with another user's views that cant be resolved, simply ignore each other and dont interact. Its that simple.

I will leave this notice up for a few days so debaters have a chance to read it. Here is the rules of the forum for reference..

Also, in your title, name it correctly, not in some cryptic method. This ensures other users can see what topics have been started and it also shows up in search results, this avoids multiple topics on the same subject being started.

As stated from schlomo72 any middle east threads will now be locked without warning and without argument. Apologies to those users who can debate without flaming.
