You just reminded me how painful it is to spew Dr Pepper out of my nose.
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
Also, while I'm at it since someone mentioned 42, I have a little mathematical joke I do in one of my books I'm writting, I figure I'll share here.
23
23 + 23 = 46
23 + 23 + 23 = 69
42 - 23 = 19
46 - 42 = 4
19 + 4 = 23
Therefore, 42 is intricately related to 23. And 23 is the number which occurs most predominately in human anatomy.
Also, Aleister Crowley's "number of the new age" is 93.
23 + 23 + 23 + 23 + 1 = 93.
Way off topic but it's in my book, actually a part I recently revised, so thought I'd mention it. For real, that post made me laugh so hard. |

lol thanks. Good to be back. I'll try to relate the crazy stuff that went on the past year or so, but that'll have to be for another topic if I do. Since I'm already so far off topic:
It's so weird... my 3000th post, I was talking about... numbers... what is this conspiracy? |

Johnno is right on the button. Bush played the fool while others pulled the strings of an agenda to which he was fully cognizant of.
And now it seems shit is hitting the fan everywhere you look. If it isn't political unrest , it international financial madness day, or some part of the world is being rocked asunder. Droughts and fires in one part of the world matched with flooding in another and the events are directly related. Great change is upon us. How well can you survive off the earth? Do you now how to forage, build a water filter, hunt, fish, farm?
And remember this, that through-out history the wealthy always had their children raised in the country, because they knew the cities were the breeding ground of diseases. If power goes, a city is the last place you want to be. |

daemonnice,
Bush was a true master at pulling strings by playing the fool.
However my post was written after a few beers so some of it is a little out of place regarding sally and her stolen bicycle. But yeah, the world is getting more messed up all the time.
The biggest problem crooked ferrit posted a while back. I believe it was ferrit who posted something about all the money in the world equals 100% but 2% of the world have or control 98% of the worlds money..... hmm not much left over for the rest of the planet when 98% of us are sharing only 2% of the worlds wealth. I tried to hunt down the post but could not find it.
Then again I have had a couple of beers tonight so did not look very hard. |

same with Reagan=senility, Clinton=playboy - they both passed some pretty awesome things and also p'd off quite a few people with their actions - it's all about sleight of hand -- 'Hey! Look over here about how i am a terrible person (whilst i get some of my resolutions/agenda passed)...'

Actualy McCool, you might want to read the books (again)
42 is not the answer to all problems... it's the Answer to "The Question that solves all problems," If you want to put it that way.
42 = The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe and Everything...

You can't ever put it that all the money in the world equals 100% of all the resources. There is actualy "more" money floating around then there are resources.
And of that, indeed... 98% of us only see very very little. |

agreed Erulin but all the time the minute percentage can manipulate so much to their own agenda without any responsibility to humanity in general the worlds societies will continue a downward spiral. |

There have been times where society was on a downward spiral before. I mean, Marie Antoinette saying "Let the Eat Cake," comes to mind.
For now though, we still have to much too loose. The day they take away our Bread and Games is the day things will truely start changing. |

Who is at fault, all of us. Every last man woman and child for letting this bullshit continue.
Allowing them to use buzz words to bend wills and hearts.
Allowing them to use us.
It's not a matter of race, religion, or nationality.
It's a matter of our simple inability to accept each other and let each other be. |
This comment made me sit up and take notice, because I so totally agree with Crooked Ferrit, people are far to busy trying to make themselves look good and others look bad and everyone is so consumed with nitpicking or maliciously gossiping that nothing gets achieved or accomplished. The sad thing about this though is that people know this but they continue to do it anyway. |

When he first got elected I was so incensed that I wrote him some hate-email and promised I would piss on his grave when he died. I still intend to keep that promise, nothing he did after he bought the presidency made me want to retract that. Also pee isn't even that disrespectful, it makes plants grow. Turning him into a plant would be a real improvement. If he had really been the Shrub everyone said he was we would be a lot better off right now. I'm sure he'll live many more decades though so I hope I don't forget by then. |

its a case of even the balanced are getting extreme.....
in truth those easy going people that would never raise an eyebrow unless someone stopped in the middle of the street and started to masturbate.....the reaction would probably be.....my goodness what is the world coming to?
well the world has come to something and if we like it or not it is here and now we must ask what to do about it.
I mean we can do a monty python on the result and it makes us feel better as we have a moment of truth twisted to make us laugh....
I once said to Whiteviper that BUSH was really smart. He fucked everybody with his play dumb act. I mean Britches that allowed him to chew on his balls, the wanted dead or alive john wayne act the looking through binoculars the wrong way around......WTF. people were suckered into thinking "this guy is a nut" and whilst the world took the piss he fucked them all in the arse with new laws loss of freedoms and a private war where his buddy cheney was charging mega bucks for meals in the desert........
reminds me of the attitude that can prevail.
Dear thief!
whoever stole my bike i truly hope your feeling proud.
However as a result i must resort to new studies in witchcraft and voodoo.
I have made a doll and will commence with needles in your penis. I hope it hurts cause my feet hurt from walking to school. I also pray that should you sell my bike that the dollar bills you get are CIA marked from a child ransom and that they shoot you first and then ask the questions. I also pray that should you ride my bike that the front wheel disintegrates and that you fall headfirst under a bus. the bus will not kill you but screech to a halt and stop on your legs so that any further thievery will be not for a bike but for a wheelchair.
And by the way with your legs busted up and no bikes to steal for an income you will be truly buggered as there ain't no money for you's as the government is shitfaced broken and busted. You and yours may keep the bike as after all this effort to ensure that you are truly up shit creek without a paddle and only redneck banjo's playing the happy song before they (*&% in your ass and then shoot you it was worth it.
kind regards
Sally aged 9.
And then the rest of us can ask whats up? |
I know this thread is really old, but I wanted to reply to this one anyway. Johnno; Have you ever thought of running for the PM position or Presidency of whichever country you are in? You'd make a great leader with your well thought out responses to so many different topics. The media would find it difficult to pick holes.
And just quickly and completely off topic (sorry) - I haven't been on IH for just over a year and this is my first post on a 2 year old thread (silly I know) but in my absence my rep went up which is really nice so thank you to those who gave me a plus 1.
And I saw that letter too, I am fairly sure it was in the newspaper, this was years ago now... but the person who took the bike was super scared by the witchcraft and voodoo comment and returned the bike. |

they returned the bike.......how cool is that!
But yes i read a message that was taped to the wall or fence and photographed. Don't know where anymore but after a couple of beers the buffalo effect kicked in and I was as smart as fox and remembered the gist of it. (with of course some alcohol induced embellishments.)
as for office.......don't don't that will work here in China hahahahha
but the topic is still a good one. Issue now of course is that it is not Bush but Obama that is getting the blame. Basically no one can fix things for everyone.
Taking 42 as the number I suppose any government must be happy if they can get 42% to agree on anything as it would appear 35% never bother to vote in the first place.
In some respects I suppose we as a collective are to blame as the number of people truly motivated to do something are being dragged down by ever increasing numbers that either just DGAF or those that see only hopelessness.
I know it sounds corny and NO Hollywood cannot copyright "There is always hope" But even in my most melancholic or melodramatic moments I never lose sight of one simple fact. Despite al the shite going on.......there are some amazing people on this planet that do amazing things.
PS: Almost forgot........welcome back lis01 |
