Your opinions are accepted, BUT:
1. Don't start a topic unless it's relatively original. Current events are considered original. <= This means no more Israel/Palestine discussions, that horse has been dead for years
2. Don't reduce things to meaningless trashtalk, ie. racist references like niggers, etc.
3. Keep the discussions clean
4. Personal attacks in posts are not permitted, use facts to argue your point.
Plus the following rules are found in the global announcemtents read me.
| Quote: |
Before you ask about:
- BitTorrent and how to download: read stickies on the BitTorrent Chat forum
- Where to find a file: Search in form above this page (why else are you here?)
- What to do with files you downloaded: Read this sticky
- Anything else: Search the forums, Google it and RTFM (read the fine manual)
You will be warned and eventually banned if:
- You spam (cross-post) the same message on multiple forums - Up to 5 warnings
- You post advertisements to your sites (free iPods type included) - Up to 4 warnings
- You post inappropriate material such as porn - Up to 3 warnings
- You spam mods with post reports that has nothing to do with abuse - Up to 2 warnings
- Sufficient evidence proves you guilty of scamming in multiple trades here - Warnings or immediate ban
- You do anything funny with multiple forum accounts - Immediate ban of related accounts
Note: logged in users can now report abuse on a specific post, by clicking the [!] button at lower right of posts. Mods will be notified and issue warnings if appropriate.
If you want to be well loved, you should:
- Think before asking stupid questions
- Help others when they need help
That's all folks. Hope you read these guidelines and help keep the forums clean, organized and useful for all of us. And welcome to all new users here! |

We don't keep logs with ip's for more than a few minutes. Data we do keep are on aggregate demographics.
And this is off topic |

We try to base the rules on common sense and certain legalities that we have to follow. Many times people are unofficially warned via posts or comments from mods, but they choose to ignore them. Other times, people get one account officially warned or banned, then make another. Sadly they then usually complain loudly about the unfairness of it all when we notice this and make adjustments to their new accounts by either banning them or adding a warning to match their other account.
Some rules are implied, as in its a forum where posts are usually limited to a few paragraphs. If there is already a thread about a topic, we usually ask that people do not open another one. At times the only option is to ban/warn people who continue to flout the rules, or show no intention to follow them.
Its sad that we have to keep reminding people about what is expected and they choose to ignore them. I would suggest to those who don't like isoHunt rules, to find a site that allows them to spam, abuse users, and ignore rules. After all if your not happy, surely its
best to find a site that suits you better
?
The best thing is, about 99.9999% of our 716,000 members manage to enjoy the forum, and thats what keeps us motivated.
