Database Issues?

Sorry about the downtime folks, at this point, we think the cmos battery in our db box is dying and corrupting the cmos, after lengthy troubleshooting with the dc techs via telephone, we cleared the cmos as a last resort and the box came back.

We might have downtime on Sunday or Monday to replace the entire motherboard, upgrade the cpus and add more ram to the database box but we're expecting it to take less than 30 minutes. I've gotta say, you guys aren't very nice to our hardware Wink

yah, mysql shat itself, sorry for that... trying to prevent a swap overrun and oom event by using ulimit, and that ended up smacking mysql hard enough to scramble a table. table's repaired now and site's back as normal (we removed the limits and we'll just keep a closer eye on it)

mysql db server has been upgraded, has more ram, bigger cpus, and new
motherboard. woot.

You might notice only w1, w2, and w3 now... w4 and w5 have been retired and w1,2,3 hardware has been consolidated, now dual opteron 244's w/ 4GB vs old single amd64 3000+ w/ 2GB ... WOOT for faster browsing!
