Kindle question

Hi everyone. I am thinking of buying a Kindle from Amazon. My question is this: Can I download ebooks from here (isoHunt or similar) and transfer them to the Kindle? All replies would be appreciated before I spend my money. Cheers, captain_chaos

I've just looked at the amazon site at the specs and I would say yes it will work. It's even got built in wi-fi lol!

You can. You will just have to make sure the ebook is in the Kindle format which can be easily accomplished with a converter such as this one:

Good afternoon Captain, yes you can download ebooks from IH, I have a Kindle and have downloaded hundreds of books and then converted them to Mobi files using a free programme called Calibre Ebook Management which also includes an ebook reader for your pc. You just drag and drop them onto your Kindle.

Hi there. I now have the Kindle and what a nice piece of kit. I took your advice and downloaded the piece of conversion software but I have a problem. AVG detects malware when I try and open the software. It says 'Trojan or variant New' I have moved it to the virus vault and downloaded again but once again AVG's having none of it. Is it safe to use? or is it being overprotective like when you download a keygen? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers for now

Its just AVG being daft as usual lol ..AVG is one the worst for detecting false positives .. The file is safe
