What did you think of Vanquish?
I got the impression that it can be frustratingly difficult and a bit boring after awhile. |

I consider taking the duke nuke'em franchise off of pc and making it only for a console to be pure and utter blasphemy. |

When it comes to games I'm quite easy, either an RTS or WoW, perhaps some FPS at rare occasions as well.
I love Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising, can spend hours building bases. I used to be a quite famous in WoW-Europe and I can't really stop playing, so if I'm not building bases you'll find me in some private server, Classic or TBC. |

Funnily enough, I'm currently replaying Enslaved, if money is an issue, dont buy it, you will complete it in about 9 hours.
Its not really a game, its more of an interactive story, what I mean by that is, the platforming it automatically done, you are more or less welded to the platforms, you cannot fall, so all you are doing is pressing Forward with the analogue stick and continually pressing "A" or "X" on the PS3.
The combat is button mashing, some enemies you may have to hit with a static electricity attack, then when their shields are down, you start whaling on them.
There is ranged combat but that sucks, very little ammo and its very slow to fire your weapon and you can carry very little Maybe 20 rounds if you buy a skill to allow you to carry more, but tbh, its seldom you need to use it, maybe the odd boss, you need to shoot to knock down, then you melee them for awhile.
You can buy a range of skills from orbs you collect, but the skills have so much suck, I havent bought more than about 5 in total, I have a couple of 100K to spend, but nothomg worth getting.
There is a thing called the Cloud, like a hover board, but you can only use it in certain areas, and while its fun, you cannot go to far from the girl or you will die, which is freaking annoying.
Basically you have a 9 hour long escort mission for a pretty but rather unlikable girl, the story is good, but I would have preferred to just watch the movie.
On saying that its a very relaxing game to play, so if you are feeling bloated after too much turkey and pud, its a nice game to lay back on the couch and look at the scenery alternating between pressing "A" and "X".
I have played 360 and PS3 and the 360 is noticably better looking, this could be due to the game being made with the Unreal engine.
I'll check out Vanquish then thanks for the heads up |

I want to play it on PS3, not on PC. It'll release on PC and X360 too though mate.
Check this
Duke Nukem Forever (PC).

Thanks for the info about Enslaved mate. I'm going to satisfy myself by watching few gameplay videos of it. "Enslaved" kind of sounds like
DarkSector
without the girl!!
However, I'm saving my money for upcoming "Awesomenesses". |

I'll never understand you people that prefer hand controllers to a mouse in first person shooters. |

Maybe because mouse doesn't vibrate in FPS when we take a shot, like in controllers and when things get excited we can jump and shoot at the same time with "vibrating controller" etcetra.
I think it's not about the controller/mouse, it's always about the "Display screen". Since I've a 50" LED 3D, consoles games are heavenly for me these days.
When you've
Falcon Attachment
to your PS3, you will not prefer controller/mouse in any FPS. |

Also looking forward to Killzone 3 here
As my PC won't be able to run any PC game so I'm only playing games using my PS3 here but I won't go near duke nukem because I have a feeling that it will be a cheap port to the PS3.. as always with most of these developers. |

Enslaved isnt a bit like Dark Sector, I'm not quite sure why you think that, DS was a shooter with a frisbee, Enslaved is a platform game with a bit of shooting to eg. remove shields from a robot. |
