To be specific, around 200 hours for me; Like living another life with all the fantasy elements in it. I'm still playing this game. I'm talking about
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Game of the Year Edition)
.(With both the expansion packs)
I wasn't into RPG; but this game dragged me into it. Hands down to the greatest game of this century.(No questions asked) *period*
I'm playing Oblivion 4 and
Dragon Age:Origins - Ultimate Edition.
(with Awakening Expansion).
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
and
Dragon Age II
is coming too.
Well, I just want to cry. |

Also looking forward to Killzone 3 here
As my PC won't be able to run any PC game so I'm only playing games using my PS3 here but I won't go near duke nukem because I have a feeling that it will be a cheap port to the PS3.. as always with most of these developers. |
You could be right about Duke Nukem (Cheap port), might take that on board & see how it develops over the next few months (Out in feb 2011)
Killzone 3 looks to be shaping up nicely tho |

Borderlands
dragged me into it.
Great game, lots of fun, good plot.
And you can play the whole story in co-op with your buddy

Borderlands is my favourite game in a LONG time, great Game, great characters, awesome DLC and very humerous too.
Currently I'm playing Just Cause 2, I got it at release and I'm only now getting around to it, great fun to be had, you even get choppers after your first mission, opening up a huge range of possibilities.
The graphics are great, it has a huge play area, if I was to nitpick, I would say the car handling leaves alot to be desired, but when you have awesome choppers, planes and boats, who cares about the cars really. |

I love 4X (Real-time) strategy games so I am hooked now on:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire
Great game, economics are nicely done, and the battles
wow
they look fantastic and
E P I C
.
You can zoom in even on small carrier defending fighters or rushing bombers.
Then you'll see the difference between the little ships and the capital ships or cruisers or even frigates.
Almost looks like a Star Wars / Battlestar Galactica fight
AND there are tons of mods out there.
Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, to name but a few.
Great game from an INDEPENDENT software company (Stardock).
Big capital ship with shields up destroying a cruiser/frigate in battle
Fighters passing a factory
Bombers making a run for a starbase
Sadly, the pictures can't show the immense size difference of the ships in game,
BUT are all in game pictures!
Missiles, different kind of ray weapons, shields, armor ... everything comes into count during battle ... and everything looks awesome!
Have I mentioned
I love this game

but
reckon these are not really the games you're on about
@

SINS is still fun, BUT
Champions Online
, a Superhero MMORPG is
now
free to play ... and so much fun
(The story line is really good so far)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champions_Online
It was a Pen And Paper RPG first, then a Comic, now (since 2009) a MMORPG ...

Mostly Fable 3 for me. Broken as hell, but I have an abiding love for those games since Fable 1 let me play football with severed heads.
Elder Scrolls: Obliv. is just a fantastic game, like pretty much everyone else has said, particularly the fact you can ignore the story line for as long as you want.
I think my first ever favourite game was and still iss Liero - A simple worms clone but played in real time by 2 players, with alot more weapons options from start and the ability to create your own maps. It's still available for download in most places, like dosgames and I recommend it.
The Total War lot are awesome, Dragon Age was fairly pathetic for a company like Bethesda and COD:Black Ops was terrible but sometimes amusing. |
