Its a two year old poll that keeps surfacing. Yes indeed, speeds have increased dramatical in the last two years. Even 16mbit is slow in most countries today.

hmm, i have about 10 torrent active but when i found lotst of cool stuff it might double, upload is always 100kb, thats all my connection allows and download goes to 1200 with windows and 7000 with fedora. i seed only less popular torrent, to make a difference and ofc. my own torrents

I tend to keep around 4-5 active torrents else i run out of bandwidth for my self... (current have 1Mb line with a cap of 10GB month)... and all my ratios are around ul/dl 1.5... althout due to some fakes or just useless downloads... the total ratio 1.8...

Back to the topic...emmm... I'd say anywhere from 0 to 2 to 5, up and/or down, depending on the night and depending on what else I have on my plate. Still have a hand me down freebie pc with feck all juice in it. She's maxed on more than 2 jobbies at once! Rolling Eyes

I Like to d.load 4 at a time just before I go pushing zzzzzzz's.
That way when I wake they are all Done.
As for U.load and D.load I leave them both on Unlimited.?
Don't know if that's Good or Bad.???

I normally have 5 on download (although i have 80 enqueue) and i keep the last 5 last completed torrents on upload till they reach the x 2.000 ratio, this i feel constitutes the give take relationship i feel is necassary to consider my self a resepctful user of not only the P2P world but to this site and it's users Wink

I prefer to have two downloading and up to 8 seeding/uploading (10 altogether). That's on a VM 20MB line.
