Index updates, Zeitgeist

Site has been running smoothly since last server upgrade, without much news to report. Except some torrent upload problems recently, a bug which has been fixed.

With our partnership with Cdcovers , adding on to our arsenal of resources are cd covers and web search, alongside the main search pages. This continues our goal of offering you a one-stop search for resources, on P2P or otherwise.

The BitTorrent search index has also been greatly expanded with new sites such as LokiTorrent and upgraded search algorithms. There is 60000+ unique torrents indexed in the database at present and growing. With continuous updates of seed and leech data, here you'll find older torrents since deleted from other sites due to logistic reasons, without staleness or duplication. This supports our view that search is better than browsing huge lists, when you are dealing with 10s of thousands of items.

Expanding the Top 20 searches you find on the side of the site (and available as a feed on other sites), we've created a Zeitgeist similar to Google's. Here you can see the most popular searches on isoHunt.com. Combined with the Releases system , you can browse around the site, even when you don't know what to search for. Wink
